. ...Blues. ... and with a start, our young hero wakes up as if from a long dream. ... or nightmare. For a brief moment, the thought of someone who once fought along side him in a battle of light and dark, good and evil, blew away the fog from his brain, pulling out of the darkness.
Groggily looking around, he hears a strange music in the background, the heavy, cloying scent of incense fills his lungs, and stings his eyes. Reaching up to wipe his brow, his hand glides over a shaved head where once long hair grew. Glancing down, he sees something both wonderful and terrifying. ... a 12" Durba AK stuck in his belt. ...
Then, realization comes crashing down, memories flooding back to his conciousness from a day long ago when he remembered searching through the swamplands of southern Florida. ... on a mission. ... a mission for good. ... a mission to fight evil. ... a mission to find. ...
the 'Researcher!'
The instinct to flee sends adrenalin flooding into his body! But something. ...a faint, insistant feeling. ... prevents him from moving. Perhaps it is his imagination, but brief intense images of dancing girls flash through his mind. ... images of unspeakable things with bears, mercenaries and bats. ... Circus clowns, horses and those bears again.! Horrible, yet, strangely compelling. The urge to run fades away, leaving an unsettling, yet weird peaceful feeling. ... a voice in his head tells him that everything is alright. ... no need to worry. ... pay no attention to the man behind the curtain. ...
Slowly, a grin spreads across our young hero's face as he nods off. ... slowly, a maniacal laughter begins to fill the cavern (HEE). Quietly, so as not to wake the dosing young man, the group of one legged dancing girls, bears and mercenaries peer at our hero from the shadows. Large bats chitter quietly from the caverns roof high above. ... Has another one gone over to the 'dark side?'
