And the WASP makes three.

of course I want the Hi res pics, SHBM's are my bag, baby, didn't you know:D

It makes me feel good knowing the WASP is with it's brothers and will be loved and cherished as it was with me.LOTS of memories with that knife.I always liked the spine rounded off on my knives..for comfort and a little easier on the baton if doing that..PLUS it looks cool and Jerry told me once it makes the blade stonger.GREAT pics!!

WOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOWOW!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

That is absolutely amzaing. Like looking at an old Colt display.

Amazing score!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!

wasp, I was also going to mention how the rounded spine looks great!
It is the subtle detail like that that I love to see:cool:

Foo, the WASP is an awesome score! Sweet collection of mistresses:eek:

All those are awesome scores. Like it has been said, I am glad Wayne has then and not someone looking to make a dollar off them

Thanks again... I have barely put her down since she has arrived.
Definitely a keeper!

Now I have to decide if I'm going to continue the tradition for which she was made...
TO BE USED!

So... what do all you Hogs and piglets think?
Should I make her my user?

Thanks again Tom... know that she's in good hands... err... hooves. :D

The spine was rounded by Jerry... this is the only one I've seen with it.

I'll bet the blade being stronger with a rounded spine has to do with distributing the impact when batoning.
The impact on an edge would most likely be greater than when it can be distributed over a greater surface area.

Now... REALLY... should I continue the use???
She begs to be beaten... I don't know if I can resist. :o

.

Beat it like a red-headed stepchild who owes you money! :D

USE IT!!!!!!

Heck, the first thing I did when I got my SHSH was go out back and start chucking it into a log. Ya GOTS ta use it!

Beat it like it owes you money!

Hey wait a minute...
at the price I paid for it... IT DOES OWN ME MONEY!!! :p :D

Wouldn't it figure that the most expensive one feels the best in the hand.

But... she does scream to be beaten!
I think I do need to carry on the tradition...

She was made to go out and get used hard...
Who am I to stop that. :D

.

On an average, the best user/big beater should be the best combination of how well it does the job and how the knife feels in the hand.

Continuing to use a user you lose no value so long as you do no major damage and do not actually lose the knife.

I am thinking of looking for a FBM or FSH to replace my early SHBM as my big beater knife, I am begining to feel guilt beating on the Old Girl.
