And this is why we keep our eye open for deals...

To help my understanding, kindly direct me to this rule you are referring to.

It's like they even specified the store in the rule :foot:

"Yes, we know you found a great price on the Ninja Disembowel 4000 at SuperPriceMART. We don't care. We'd prefer you support the dealers who support BladeForums.com.

As such, we don't allow deal spotting because otherwise the forums would be a quagmire of "deals" (real or imagined) posted everywhere, or unscrupulous people posting "deals" for non paying dealers. So don't do it."

Well, it's not like "SuperPriceMART" is advertising this deal and there's a link to it, and bet it's isolated to the individual store at the OPs location, kinda like finding it at a flea market in chicken$hit Arkansas, or in the woods while hunting. I'd reckon if all BF members and guests went to their local SuperPriceMART right now, no one would find the OP deal. If someone does, let us know - It won't be me though, as I don't visit big box stores for any reason from mid November to mid January.

Anyway, for the OP, great find if that's what you like.

Brain lapse; I do have some past stories to share LOL!

I bought two Kershaw Storm II's for $15.00 each a couple years ago; my father found Kershaw Tremors for $12.00 each from a local bricks and mortar store last year.

I bought this set for $13.00 earlier this year... I'm pretty happy with that price. ;)

This set for $20.00 from an antique market last year:

Nice collection!

The bottom 3 piece set looks like one that my late parents had. I believe that it was in another brand name (?) but it looks close to it.

Thank you for sharing.

I begrudgingly went into the "Big Blue Box" this morning for something completely not knife related, but of course, while there, how could i not stop in the knife section, just to see, right?

Well it turns out I had lucked out. They had just found a couple of knives that were NOS, and had bene misplaced or something somewhere in the back. A Kershaw Skyline, and a Zing (the black plastic handle one with the radiating pattern on the blade). Both marked down to $5 each. Both have blades marked with Jan and Feb '09. And both are now safe and sound at home, and out of the fluorescent lights and stank of desperation in Big Blue.

Just felt like sharing my score!

Anybody else get any screaming deals recently?

Congrats!

I received a kukri I bought for 20 bucks off ebay. Leaf shaped, broahead arrow marked solid chunk of steel. Tight handle, crappy chakma and karda, scared up sheath, and appears to have been heavily used. Dull as a rock when I received it. Axe sharp now and well cleaned. keepem sharp

At a gun show last weekend the first table I stopped at was a guy selling knives. He didn't have a big inventory and it was a mix of knives from older slip joints to new cheap imports. I stopped because an older made in the USA Uncle Henry caught my eye. I walked away with it and 3 new in the plastic ESEE Izulas for $80. He said he was clearing out inventory for the end of the year. I felt pretty good about my purchase until he said "you should have been here yesterday"
