Andrew Demko Custom AD-10 - Carbon Fiber in ELMAX

ELMAX performed as I expected it to at 60.5~61 HRC when I did the test cutting on 5/8" rope today, I can't rank it because I tested it at 40 inclusive instead of 30.

It will be off the charts if I reprofile it to 30 because it's ground very thin behind the edge. (Not fair to the rankings)

Still have to do a full review thread and videos yet.

Andrew stopped taking orders for Tri-Ad lock folders... sorry guys.

Ankerson... Great score! Is one not enough? :D

Nice blade. I'm happy with production knives - I can only imagine how happy one of these customs would make me!

I wanted a different steel and CF for this one and I wanted it ground THIN to be more of a slicer and it is thin believe me while still having a lot of strength.

Wow that looks great! Now that you have the new one, you can send the old, outdated model to me! :D

Wow; very nice.

Is it just the angle of the picture, or is the G-10 more radiused than the CF?

I'd say yes although the CF is nicely done. Andrew hand contours the G-10 and sculpts it beautifully. It looks unbelievable - well, you can see the side view.

For a detailed look at his work on G-10, click on Ankerson's profile and find the link for all of the threads he's started. You'll find the first Andrew Demko knife thread for his 1st knife and very detailed pictures.

I prefer the G-10 and that's what I got, but that's just me. Jim bought a great package with that blade grind - especially attractive. :)
