Andy doesn’t make this any more…

I wish someone would go ahead and buy this 2011 Shank that has been at Lee's Cutlery, it even comes with an old school Bandido sheath and super-fat contoured handles

I agree I wish someone would. I still look at it every couple of weeks...

I've considered that several times lately. If it was a wooden handled one, I would already have it

This is the only old school Fiddleback I have, a Bourbon St Skinner in 3/16" O1 with fat handles, and a RLO pouch, luvem!;)

I like a lot of the older 3/16 models. It isn't an original, but I have a Recluse in tapered 3/16 that is one of my favorites.

Me too Brian. Even though this one isn't tappered, it still has good balance and it feels stout.

Glad you are enjoying it! And I am very glad that it went to someone who will appreciate it and use it. This one took a bit of a detour on its way, and through it, I got to learn what a great guy Charles is; would recommend Charles to anyone buying/selling/trading with him

Back at you!!!

BTW, the edge you put on the knife is awesome! I need to respond to your e-mail, but for now let me say the edge you put on the Woodsman convinced me to get some CBN and a kangaroo strop.

Good deal. Yeah as i mentioned the CBN is an overkill for 01 steel, but it is not a bad investment as it teally flexes its muscle for higher resistance stainless/resistant metals. I almost never fail to use them when sharpening CPM steels.

Oh thank goodness. I was on the verge of something I would have regretted later I'm sure. I had looked at that one at least twice a week since I started the art project. It is a model I dearly want, it is the thickness I want, and it has the grind I want...but I am trying very hard to limit the phenolic handles in this project and wood would suit the character I have in mind for that model much better.
