Just curious about the aluminum platen. I assume you run a glass face or similar on it to keep it from dishing?

I've been running it for over a year and have not had a problem with it. But that was my plan if it did become a problem. I would take it off turn it over and attach either a glass or ceramic to the top. I understand JBweld works good for this.
Thanks for asking.

Hmmmmmmmm. Hollow grinding with that holder ? Maybe with something like this ?

I would like to buy the table and jig if possible, I have a tw-90 and would need to adapt it to my arm.

Thanks Steve I have looked into mounting it on Travis's grinder and it should not be a problem. What is the length of the platten?.

I would also like to get one of these setups from you, Jim.

I have a TW-90 on order, so that would be the grinder. I've asked Travis if he could send me a couple measurements for this purpose. If there is anything specific you want asked I would be happy to. Or maybe you can convince Steve to do the measuring work. :)

The standard platen on his machines is 2x10, I believe.

I'm envious Travis makes a very nice grinder!
I tried to call him the other day but didn't get him, I'll try again or I may go down to Johnny Stout's and get some measurnents off of his.
If you don't mind send me an email with your information so I can print it out and not lose it.
Thanks, Jim

The angle is adjusted using the two knobs on top and locked in place with the two nylon thumb screws.
Yes it looks like it will works on the Grizzly 2x72" grinder.
What you would need to do is mount the new work rest on top of the original by drilling holes in it and mounting with bolts. You would also need to drill holes in the original platten to mount the new one on top of it.
If there is enough adjustment in the platten now to move it back 1/2" were good if not you would need to slot the holes some more.
If you think you can handle it please send me an email with your information including phone number to.

Hey Jim,

Happy New Year! I received my KMG jig package yesterday and I have to say, you did a really nice job designing and building this system. We are supposed to be hit with a big snow storm tomorrow so it looks like I'm going to have a three day weekend to break-it-in, and I can't wait.

Thanks again,

Kevin

Thanks Kevin. let's see some photos.

Seriously if you or anyone else have any problems don't hesitate to give me a call 254-744-6781

Jim, are you still able to make these jigs and work rests? if you are Ill take a full set for a Bader BMIII, and work rest only for a BMII.

Please let me know.

Bigjohn

Yes I'm still turning them out just send me an email telling me what kind of grinder you have and what you want to. jimmcguinn@live.com when responding threw BF please check your profile and make sure you have it set to accept emails so I can reply.
I can't afford a table at the Blade show but I'll be there on Saturday. Look for the old man in the black tee shirt with a picture of my grinder on the front and the jig on the back.
