Decent machetes (that weren't a mile thick with boxy handles like Ontario's) really haven't been available in North America until fairly recently. I was fortunate enough to have landed a good one (by a company called Express) as my first machete back when I was 14. Goodness knows how many folks disregarded machetes for the awesome tools they are just because the only ones they had ever used were crappy ones.![]()
I thought it was very important for these to taper, and they do, butt to tip. Really makes the thing come alive in the hand.

I bet you could slip that 12 incher down beside the calf of your leg and get it in easy, a little duct tape and you are home free!Just don't let her hear you holler when the duct tape comes off!
My wife just says something like, "Wow, that's got a pretty handle!" I love that woman.
So's What's your recommended way of sneaking in an 18'er? !!![]()
These just keep getting better and better!![]()
I've got several ideas. I'm going to do contests, and passarounds, and by the time she's seen the passarounds, and knows of the contests, she won't be able to say you didn't get one for free.
I NEED one of these!!!
