WOW!! That is beautiful Andy. I'm already picturing the camp I am going to set up on the 3 day 2 night camping trip I am going to take up on the mountain here as soon as the weather cools off enough to enjoy a fire and sleep good at night.

I'll get the dud out to you as soon as I've got inet back. Can't print shipping labels.

Cool, the more I look at that thing the more I like it...and I loved it to start with :)

That's the best looking handle shape, blade shape, and grind I've ever seen on a machete. I'm thinking between this, the Bushfinger, and my SAK I'll be completely squared away for the trip

With a drafting program and 20 minutes of boredom the possibilities are endless! ;)

That Kukri looks pretty sweet! I'd want it a little thicker than a machete just because I'm used to Kukris being thicker but it really looks good.

Yeah, I rather like it myself. The top one is simply how Andy's 12" traced out (e.g. not very well). When I imported his picture it exploded into a mass of pixels; so it was hard to get a clean line. However, it turned out to work very well for the Khukuri tip. I've only used HI Khukuris (1/2" spine at the bolster) so I don't know if I'd like a machete thin Khuk either, but it wouldn't hurt me to try.

So Andy, if you ever decide to use that design I want dibs on buying the prototype. ;)

Got my "factory second" 16" and 18" models the other day (the only problem with them was minor finish issues that I don't give a damn about. I couldn't tell, anyhow, since they were so small! :p) and they absolutely ROCK! Tested them out hard today and they handled well on everything from grasses to full-blown trees. The steep grind on them is fantastic, and the handles are nothing short of masterful! There's a gentle taper to them that just makes them spring to life in the hand.

I found the 16" model's handle to be the most comfortable when held in a typical manner, while the 18" model played something of a clever trick--it allowed you to chop comfortably by grasping the bottom region of the grip, or choke up on the top region of the handle for precise knife-like work. I took a few pictures, and I'll try to upload them ASAP. All I can say is that Andy really knocked the ball out of the park with these, and I'm pretty critical so you can believe me when I say it!:thumbup:

After recieving an acceptable sampling, I have approved this order. 600 machete blades being made! Woo Hoo!

Cool, I think I'll be wanting to get another 12 incher in a few months just to have another one around. Right now still saving up for a Recluse :)
