another day hike: two of my favorite spydercos.

Could be that was early in the process. They also couldn't keep the handles from breaking and thus wood is no longer an option on that design. If you research it you'll see there were some very unhappy people out there that owned this blade at one time. I've discovered they're folders are pretty weak too. I was looking for a hard use folder and doing some research I learned they pretty much cannot handle any hard use. Every Spydie tested broke very early in the test. Such is life. I've moved on to something more durable, but I still like the looks of many of the spydies.

the supplier didn't ship spyderco the stabilized wood like they ordered. the hardest my folders have seen are cutting down boxes (like the type used by amazon, usps, etc.). as for hard use, that's what fixed blades are for...this particular sub-forum has full of members who know how to pick the right tool for the job.

That's a cool looking blade. I seen one on their site that look like that with wood handles. I thought about buying it for awhile, but no one could get them and then I lost the desire. Once I am sure they have the bugs worked out of the bushcrafter I'll pick one of those up for sure. I'm loving the scandi grind while working wood.
