Doesn't matter if the seller has never had any problems. It is poor unacceptable packaging on this item for sure. Maybe 10 items are shipped without any problems and #11 ends up as yours did.
Placed in a small flat rate box or any small secondary box and you are guaranteed almost never to have any problems. Package it well every time should be the policy of any seller. If they need to charge a
dollar or two more for shipping than do it.

Exactly, how it was sitting when I opened it. Ironically it was waiting at my door after returning from the Post office. Don't worry, yours will travel much better:DI'll send tracking shortly:thumbsup:
Lol, that would be crazy to receive a knife that way.

I have always found it interesting when folks complain about the "cost" of the shipping, after they have agreed to the sale, which includes the known shipping cost. If you agree to purchase the item, which states the shipping cost that has been agreed to with the purchase, why complain about it after it arrives? The seller may live a fair distance from the post office and they may factor these types of things into their posted shipping amount. Nice knife.

I agree, if the shipping price is way high it needs to be discussed before the auction or sales end. I have only reached out on high shipping cost a couple times, and the one time the guy said he honestly thought he put $7 shipping but it was showing $70, so he thanked me and changed it to 7$. If the shipping is on the high side for an auction I just factor that into my high bid.

I did, he explained he inherited the knife and didn't look at it too closely. to him it looked new but he could see how a series collector might disagreeo_O

It is really irritating to get poor packaging. One thing I’ve found that helps some of the time, is to let the seller know you’re a knife collector, and the box condition is important, and inquire if they ship in a box or padded envelope, or even those unpadded plastic things that are so popular now due to rising postage.

I’ll offer to kick in a couple more bucks if they’ll ship in a small priority box and a better seller usually will. But not always I’ve found.

I honestly think folks dont realize how packages are handled and shipped. that's why they do that.

Might be the case with some folks, but not STEELHEADBULLY's knife. That's just plain being lazy.
