Another Fake Sebenza on fleabay...

I asked for better pics to be posted or emailed to me. That is about the worst pic I have ever seen on a knife for sale. Kinda reminds me of some of the various forum pics I have see when people are trying to sell knives and they tell you there is a scratch on the blade, but its hard to see and they provide a crappy pic like this. I will keep you guys posted.

What sucks is, two people already bid on it........ :(

Reported it. Some guy trying to make a few easy bucks. But who would put a bid in for $60 bucks when the guy can't even spell Sebenza right and the photo looks to
be poorly taken intentionally.

Its funny because I had a BG-42 sebenza that I bought one time off feebay. The guy butchered the spelling on " sebenza ", but it was indeed genuine. I no longer have it as I traded it away or sold it, cant remember. This was back when the regulars were still being made and BG-42 was more plentiful. But the BIG difference between that sebenza and this one.......was the picture. The other had pretty good pics and you could tell it was a good one, this.......super blurry, cheap looking screws, incorrect spelling, everything that would scare anyone knowing anything about the real thing.

Yea. All signs point towards fake. Hes trying to use the loop hole in the title by saying Sebenza Style. So he knows its a fake but hes presenting a misleading description.

no loophole 100% crook.

this is a used sabenza knife in great condition, has seen light use, this is a GREAT knife everyone wants a sebbie ;) pictures dont do this sabbie justice it has light wear but it is still nice, sharp and ready for action.

According to the seller

"cant upload better pics, dont have a good camera.sorry, this was sold to me as a genuine reeves knife"

Everyone wants a Sabbie!!

Notice how he titled it "Sabenza Style"

Whos is this Chris Reeves guy I hear so much about, any relation To Chris Reeve:cool:

According to the seller

"cant upload better pics, dont have a good camera.sorry, this was sold to me as a genuine reeves knife"

My response was similar:

" i was told its real but i honestly cant tell you, thats why im selling os cheap. Unfortunatly i cant take better pics
sorry

What is a genuine reeves knife? there are loads of people with that surname -it means nothing.

Also at no point does he mention the word sebenza. He alludes to it with four other words .Not misspelt .Simply other words.
avoid.

hey guys, listen im not trying to rip anyone off, sure i could use the money but in no way do i mean to rip anyone off, This was in fact sold to me as a real sebenza (i know i spelt it wrong in the listing, someone bid b4 i could fix it) Im not a scumbag lookin to take advantage of people hence my 100% feedback. Im a hard working firefighter/ Emergency Medical Technician trying to get some funds to pay for my dads surgery.

Thanks all

I meant it was sold to me as a genuine chris reeves knife, didnt think a fellow brother would be the one twisting my words.

listed as sabenza style so that if it is a fake, I dont ruin my credibility for misleading my buyers, that way if its fake il even out and award the buyer one of my many knifes to make up for the mishap, if its real more power to ya

This is the part that's dodgy, where the seller acknowledges that the knife may be fake, and it is in fact a strong enough possibility that he is "selling os (sic) cheap". If he has such a strong suspicion that the knife is fake, why not put that in the description? The only conclusion I can come to is that the seller is trying to intentionally mislead. Not cool.

I suggest you first find out if your knife is indeed a fake or if its genuine. Theres plenty of people here that would be willing to help you out with that, me included. If theres
any way you can take some better pictures in good light and send them to me I will let you know. To try and sell it without knowing if its a fake or not is not really an honorable thing to do.
Imagine the buyer when he realizes the knife is indeed a fake and how that would feel. It will cause more problems and drama for both the buyer and you.

well unfortunatly it sold but if it does turn out to be a fake, i will take it back or give back a portion of the purchase price. again not trying to be like alot of people out there who purposely try to rip people off. i recently saw a video and though the back of the thumbstud isnt blue there is no hole in the framelock where the ball bearing would be. I will try to get a better pics and post them, il use my streamlight to help capture the features. Again i dont appreciate how everyone here jumped to conclusions, though i really do need that quick buck (we all do in this economy) i would never decieve a person, ive been ripped off before so i know. IT SUCKS. I appreciate the help guys, and since we are on the topic of fakes would you be able to tell me if this strider is fake or real? il post the pics soon and would appreciate the help.

People didn't jump to conclusions, they reached their conclusions after evaluating your sketchy sales tactics, that picture is purposely bad, if you have any sort of camera phone and a lamp you can take a picture a lot better than that, that picture tells me that you have something to hide. I would never sell something that is fake without atleast saying that it is fake and even then I wouldn't feel right about selling it because they could turn around to sell it to someone as the real thing. Oh and by the way ethics don't just go out the window when you need a "quick buck" even in "this economy"
