Another Fake Sebenza on fleabay...

self centered? I sold my brand new 2011 F-250 POV and downgraded to a 2003 chevy 3500 and donated that money for Relay for Life in support of cancer research and recently used my whole paycheck to buy wristbands which i will be selling to raise more money. I also participate in EVERY community outreach project. I suffer from minor dislexia you ass so ya sometimes my spelling and grammar might be off BECAUSE I HAVE TROUBLE READING. Thanks for making fun of my dissability "brother" and i really appreciate the fact you think your fellow firefighter is a scumbag (though there are many peoples who would dissagree)

This just doesn't make any sense. If you were in this guy's position wouldn't you have found some way to take a decent picture to keep from taking a $240+ loss? I mean with that kind of difference you could literally go out and buy a decent camera and still come out on top.

not to mention this money is goin to pay my pops ICU and hospice bills. thanks for nothing fellas, always have to think the worst of people, I got a badge and pins for a reason and lying and cheating isnt one of em.

As i told meako, i do have a nikon coolpix, when my girlfriend gets back from indiana il take pics with it. I usually use my phone becuse its easier to hook up to the computer, if requested i take better pics and upload them. alright fellas il be on call tmrw so i wont reply till thursday, feel free to qeustion me and my problems further if you so please il answer everything on thrusday.

With 10% of the energy and time you've put into defending your character you could have just proven the knife's authenticity and actually settled the matter.

Goodpoint i earned the right to that title ive payed my dues and have always lived by the values instilled in me. Honor. Duty. Courage. Pride. Tradition.

I sure as hell will WHEN I GIRLFRIEND GETS BACK WITH MY CAMERA. honestly forget it, i dont have to prove my self or answer to any of you. This is a pain and though you are inferring me as being a scumbag, my reviews and feedback speak for themselves. Thanks all

The knife is fake...you can tell by the grind lines. Hopefully the buyer is covered with buyer protection or whatever eBay/PayPal uses.

Good catch 1234!

It's good to have all of the tripe you've posted here in one post to read.

First, about your stellar feedback. You have 43 positive feedbacks - you're a cherry on eBay so don't act like a old hand and give us the "look at my reputation" stuff.

You said the money was for your Dad's Hospital bill, but now it's for his hospice bills. Hmm?

I can understand selling things to assist a family member with medical bills. I don't understand how you can re-imburse the buyer if the knife "turns out to be fake" with money or one of your knife or (knifes). You already bought one that you knew was fake and sold it on Craigslist, so you do know how to spot a real from a fake by your own admission.

How will you determine if this eBay sabenza style folder is fake? Are you keeping your fingers crossed and hoping for no complaints? If the buyer is not a collector and thinks he's got a Sebenza when in fact he has a fake sabenza style folder are you in contact with him to let him know that you have no paperwork (your GF tore it up??) for it and that it might be a fake and you're sorry if it is? There's so much baloney mixed in with your posts that you sound like you have another impairment beside not being able to read good.

I mean c'mon you say that you listed it as a "sabenza style folder" in case it turned out to be a fake and preserve your integrity. You knew the Craigslist folder was fake and sold that one. You know this doesn't have a detent ball in the lockbar on this one but you don't know it's fake?

And where are these high resolution pics you promised - more baloney.

You sold your brand new 2011 F-250 POV and downgraded to a 2003 chevy 3500 and donated all of that money for a charity called Relay for Life? That's admirable but it's not what at issue here.

What is - is that you apparently have sold a fake Sebenza and have come here to for some unknown reason to convince us that you're stand-up guy. If you want to do that, copy & paste your correspondence with the buyer that you may have sold him a fake Sebenza and what he's got to say about it. I think you're guilty of fraudulent sales on eBay and you don't want any of us to queer the deal, thus you appear out of nowhere.

I have a Quickdraw McGraw badge and pins too but that and $1.00 "might" get me a coffee at some cheap diner - "maybe."

hey guys, listen im not trying to rip anyone off, sure i could use the money but in no way do i mean to rip anyone off, This was in fact sold to me as a real sebenza (i know i spelt it wrong in the listing, someone bid b4 i could fix it) Im not a scumbag lookin to take advantage of people hence my 100% feedback. Im a hard working firefighter/ Emergency Medical Technician trying to get some funds to pay for my dads surgery.

Thanks all

I meant it was sold to me as a genuine chris reeves knife, didnt think a fellow brother would be the one twisting my words.

listed as sabenza style so that if it is a fake, I dont ruin my credibility for misleading my buyers, that way if its fake il even out and award the buyer one of my many knifes to make up for the mishap, if its real more power to ya

well unfortunatly it sold but if it does turn out to be a fake, i will take it back or give back a portion of the purchase price. again not trying to be like alot of people out there who purposely try to rip people off. i recently saw a video and though the back of the thumbstud isnt blue there is no hole in the framelock where the ball bearing would be. I will try to get a better pics and post them, il use my streamlight to help capture the features. Again i dont appreciate how everyone here jumped to conclusions, though i really do need that quick buck (we all do in this economy) i would never decieve a person, ive been ripped off before so i know. IT SUCKS. I appreciate the help guys, and since we are on the topic of fakes would you be able to tell me if this strider is fake or real? il post the pics soon and would appreciate the help.

I did buy a fake, and sold it on Craigslist a couple days ago after lettin my buddy take a look at it. This one I bought from a guy with a bob lum tanto for $415. For the last time if it is a fake il either give him another knife (or knifes) to make up or give him most of the money back. What i think was left out was the fact that i had a birth certificate before my girlfriend threw it out. Hell you guys can think what you want of me, i take pride in taking care of my customers and making sure they get what they pay for, no less, but maybe more. Ive sold other knifes and fire service items not only on ebay but outside of ebay and have always ended the day with one very satisfied customer

So far all you have done is posted how great of a person you are and you have all this intregrity. Well talk is cheap. What we are looking at are your actions and so far
you sold a knife that in your words you don't know if its fake or real. And its pretty obvious it is a fake. You sold it for $187 bucks. You have not informed the buyer. Your just
hoping he doesn't notice and file a claim with paypal. So I ask this.... Where is all this integrity you speak so highly of?

Reputable seller

1) Does not sell counterfeit item nor an item of questionable authenticity.
2) Does not depend on a buyer to determine the authenticity of the item sold.
3) Does not give another knife to make up or give the most of money back "if turns out to be a fake" but gives
the immediate full refund including the original shipping and return shipping.

Wrong... we are implying that you are a scumbag. You inferred it!

Why wouldn't you give back ALL of the money if it turns out to be fake? What entitles you to return only "most" of it?

This is turning out to be pretty interesting. I emailed the seller while the auction was still going on and asked for pics and even pics to emailed to me. ( I did not know about the youtube fake video ).

I was told that: " i was told its real but i honestly cant tell you, thats why im selling os cheap. Unfortunatly i cant take better pics
sorry
FF/EMT Arsal "

From this answer alone, I was passing. If you have a item thats worth $300+ and even close to $400, your going to make every effort to make as much money as you can. Taking aprox. a $150++ loss because your unable or unwilling to take proper pics.....??? This puts up the red flag immediately.

Also, I have sold on ebay for aprox. 10 years. If its indeed a fake and the buyer files a claim, you as the buyer will be forced to refund the whole amount upon return of the fake knife ( this is if its indeed fake ). You and the buyer can agree on partial refund, but adding other knives to make up for it will not likely be an option with ebay. Ebay also sides with the buyer more often than not these days as a seller can no longer leave negative feedback, even if a buyer does....!!!

All I can say is, I hope its real for your sake. Many that look on ebay for knives are also forum members and frequent the CRK forum also. If its real, the buyer got a steal at $187. If its fake, your likely in for a rough ride with the seller and ebay as well.

Also, asking $13+ for shipping when it will obviously fit in a small flat rate box is wrong. If its a $400+ sebenza and your paying for priority, dc, insurance, then thats fine, but otherwise, its not a good selling practice. Heck, most times I am in the hole a buck or so when it comes to shipping.

One thing I will bring to light before I am off. You state you have a reading disability. If so, I apologize. Your listing was poorly written, because of your disability....Correct...???...... BUT, your able to write post after post in this thread pretty clearly....???

Hopefully the buyer is a forum member and can chime in when he gets it.

You can usually(IMO) gauge a sellers character on the amount they charge for shipping;)

I agree. I actually feel bad when I go to the post office and see I charged someone $10 and its actually $8. Kinda sucks. Unless you do calculated shipping, its tough. Packaging up everything and weighing it is alot of work when your trying to list stuff, so I always try to guess and come pretty close, mostly to the negative in my pocket though...lol. If they are across the country, they are getting a deal with shipping, if they are in the same state or close, they are getting ripped off a little. Its one thing though to be off a buck or two, but charging double or more is just plain wrong and I would never do that.

Plus or minus a few bucks...yeah, that's no problem....$13 bucks??, a USPS Priority w/del conf is like $5.90something

If I mail a $500 sebenza for example, with a small flat rate, dc, insurance, its close to $13 ( with insurance being the bulk of it ), but for a knife under $200, no way. Shipping is getting higher, but not that high. Most of the time when I am selling a knife for that price, I include shipping as most of us here do. More or less a courtesy to our fellow forum members.

Oh god, this thread is a mess. I agree with everything cziv has to say...

I hope the buyer knows its fake, files a claim, gets his/her hard earned money back and that knife gets taken out of the second hand market.

I don't care what kind of misfortune happened to you, that you got ripped off, you just don't repeat the crime on another unsuspecting victim. Then you are just as bad as the person who did it in the first place.

Also, just because you say "style" in the title doesn't mean your discription and shitty picture aren't trying to confuse the buyer into thinking its real.

"this is a used sabenza knife in great condition, has seen light use, this is a GREAT knife everyone wants a sebbie ;) pictures dont do this sabbie justice it has light wear but it is still nice, sharp and ready for action."

You CLEARLY state here it is a "sabenza knife" and is a knife many people want called a "sebbie/sabbie." How are people supposed to know its a fake when you keep trying to call it a Sebenza? No where in the actual description do you say it is not a real Sebenza but rather a "sebenza style" or w.e crap you want to call it. I don't care if you have dsylexia. Defend yourself however you want, but you know its a fake and you are trying to con people into buying it with your "poor" wording and shitty pictures. Last time I checked dsylexia doesn't give you an excuse to poorly phrase things in a way that cons people. I mean look at what you are typing in this thread, its pretty darn clear that you know its a fake and you are even defending yourself.

On a side note, that has got to be the WORST picture for a sale I have ever seen. Is that REALLY the best you could have done? If it is real, which is unlikely, it is a $300 knife. Even for a camera phone, this is horrific.

If you even so much as THINK it is fake, why would you try to sell it as real? What kind of moral conduct is that?

That said, maybe you aren't a bad person. Maybe you really did do that stuff for a fund raiser. Good stuff. Regardless it is clear you knew or at least has some idea it was a fake and you sold it as real...Don't pretend you don't know that its a fake. How can your buddy point out a fake to you, you acknowledge so, sell it on Craigslist, and then turn around and get another fake and think its real? Did you forget about the fake you sold earlier on Craigslist? After the first fake I would have assumed a decent intelligent being would have noticed a second fake?? That doesn't even make sense.

This disgusts me. Yet again, disappointed in humanity. No surprise there...what goes on these days never ceases to amaze me.
