Bad Guy!
I talked to Tom(Cutters) about that cuz was thinking about having it(carbon fiber inlays, satin finish blade) done to my D/A's as I said I now have 2 D/A's , and he said he might figger a way out how to do that later down the road but the inside of the frame would be too thin because of the way the D/A operates that he would not feel it would hold up because he would have to mill out the frame of the D/A to make the carbon fiber scales fit flush. Otherwise would stick out too far, and would ruin the appearance of the knife, and make it thicker than it already is. He has it in his mind to devise a way to make it work but will take some time as he has hade many people wanting the difference scales on the D/A. The only option he has at this time on the D/A is(which is done to both of mine)all the hardware can be polished like the thumbstud, clip, pivot screw, frame screws, and the blade stop spacer. The next run of D/A's which he is in the process of doing will have the optional blades of satin finish, and maybe also the Bodycote coating. So more options are in the future but not now when you are ready to buy.
Soooooooo I would say go for the manual with the inlays, and satin finish, and I think you will still be quite happy with it. Then go with the small MT Elite, and you have a good selection as I mentioned before.
Just wanted to let you know the latest that is going on with CK&T, and what they have in line for the future. He also has the Kerambit, and couple of other things going on at the present that he will be releasing soon.
Hope this helps.
