Another~ Just for fun~ thread !

Wouldn't even consider a knife to be honest. I'd pic my trail hawk. I need a new pic though. I've since cut the hammer poll off.

This is probably the one I would grab right now. Mainly because I've come to really trust in it's capabilities over the last few months. Fiddleback Forge Recluse built by BRK&T.

Not knowing the destination, climate, or length of time.. the fact that I'm taking nothing else, (no weight), I'd grab this Culberson Bolok. His HT is really amazing, stays sharper longer than anything else I've owned. Large, but I can choke up on it for cleaning game, I'd hope.

hard call to make really .
Being that its a show .. everything provided so conveniently to hand to demonstrate what its like in a real survival situation when its actually not easy at all ..

if its playing in the more tropical areas , Id take my machete ..

if its playing in the rest of the country , I reckon the ugly beast I made a few years ago would be the go . Its plain , but does the job it has to do and keeps on coming back for more .

power hacksaw blade? looks a lot like one I ground down a few years back and use as a foam knife because I wasn't sure how well it would hold up in the woods.

Actually, the sensible thing would be to first find out what pit dog is toting and the select something complementary.

I've been touching up the edge on this one this morning. It's heavy enough for any hard use that would arise but is controllable enough for finer work.

I think I too will jump on the Breeden bandwagon and bring my Pathfinder:

This is as tough a knife as you'll find anywhere. I've beaten the crap out of it, and it just begs for more. You want to baton with it, no problem, with a 5" blade it's big enough for most everything. The edge holding is fantastic, and, at 1/8" thickness, it's a great slicer.

I don't think they would take me as would never tell people mumbo jumbo like building a makeshift bamboo hammock over a small slow moving stream will protect someone from mosquitoes. Who writes BS like that? In any case I would take whatever knife was in my pack or within easy reach. Maybe a Mora etc..

Tough question. There are too many to choose from! :D

Certainly need something that's both a good slicer and bomb proof for rough use. Probably the Bravo1!

Bean Bag, you sure have gotten some use out of that Pathfinder knife you have there. that is what I like to see lol.

Hmm... I'm gonna cheat and grab one unit:

Busse NMSFNO, and Busse Skeleton Warden, in a drop leg kydex/kydex piggyback rig... I like this so much I have the same piggyback rig in both kydex and leather. The leather is pretty, but if I don't know the details, I'll go with the kydex for the long term durability.

I figure there's not many jobs requiring sharp steel that I can't accomplish with this setup...

If forced down to one blade, I'd have to say the NMSFNO.

awesome thread!!
Might need to make a new knife as the one I would have posted isnt mine any longer!!!

I would grab the bottom Siegle

Best Handle of any 8" Knife I ever used by him or anyone else.

Chops WAY better than it should for it's size.

I can choke up on it if I need to as well

Since I do not know where or how long I'll be gone--this is the one I would choose.

Man--My wife is going to be pissed off that I just took off :)

But you know--Us TV Stars do that stuff.....

If I had to choose right now I would grab this little Ontario.
In an emergency, or for a survival show, I don't think there is anything that I couldn't use it for.
