Another new ZT Blade debut...

Thomas,
This is another hit out of the ballpark!
It excites me like the Speedform did when I saw it for the first time.
Those sleek flowing lines are and large size call to me.
I WILL OWN ONE!! and one of the new RJ colabs and, and, and!
Kershaw/ZT have raised the bar for all of the other knife manufacturers to keep up with.
Keep up the awesome work and creativity. It is setting Kershaw ahead of it's competition!!

WOW, CTS Micro-melt Maxamet at RC 68-69.

Wonder if this steel would even has better edge retention than S110V.

This possibly the highest price model among the new 3.

Based on the data sheet it shoudl be better than S110V it says comparable to A11 for wear which puts it in the CPM 10V category... but harder and likely more brittle... But still... Daaaayumm.!!!

"The alloying additions provide excellent wear resistance due to a high carbide volume, and good toughness at high hardness levels" from CTS

I love high tungsten steels. As if the design wasn't enough, that steel sounds ridiculous.

Is this going to be regular production?

Steel is Carpenter's Micro-Melt Maxamet... RC 68-69

With an Adamantium spine, right?

I love this thing, based on looks and steel alone. It's just so out there, I need to own one. I don't really care when, I just have to have one of these in my life.

AAAAARRRGH!

Here I was trying to whittle my collection down to one folder and now you go and do this, showing off multiple, absolute, no questions asked, must have folders. It's like my freedom of choice just got taken away, I'm a zombie. A robot, a slave, born to give Kershaw a whole bunch of money.

Thinking about getting an SLR Camera? Don't make me laugh. I need knives.
Better Truck? I can get by with junkers. This steel type sets a new precedent in the knife world, I have my priorities straight.
Food? I'm overweight as it is, I think I need to cut back on the Bacon.

Bacon! You hear that? This is better than BACON!

Good grief! 68 Rc! 36% alloy!

And the pattern fits my ideals almost perfectly (I can ding it for having a traditional stop pin, but that's nitpicking). And it looks beautiful to top it all off.

Next Blade Show, Thomas W will announce the folder that eliminates disease on contact with your body, solves world hunger, and removes all destructive impulses from human nature.

HMMm I was not to exited about the styling/finish, but with the announcement of the steel I'm definitely getting one.

Further from the sheet... Toughness "is somewhat lower than that of conentional powder metal high speed steel grades hardened to HRC 65/67"... In otherwords its more brittle than CPM M4, ZDP etc... But still tougher than ceramic or straight carbide. Its billed as an intermediate step between tool steels and carbides...They also say its comparable to AISI A11 in wear resistance.

Excellent "steel" for edge retention, but don't go expecting the blade to take staples and chopping well... At least thats my view... This should be a slicer with blade geometry to support and encourage that.

I dont expect anything to take hitting staples. I chipped my 560 on a staple, just sharpen it out. I am really excited about this knife and know I'll be waiting on a pre order list from kershaw guy soon.

well I know there aren't any pre order lists yet, :D but if there were , I would already have 60 names on them, just sayin !

So Thomas when are we allowed to start harassing our favorite dealer about this and the other two new knives? After blade? or is patience a virtue?

Alas it will likely only be feasible for me to get 1 of the new 3. Hard choice indeed, beautiful new knives by ZT!! Props!

ZTs might have to be called Mid Techs pretty soon. Yes they are getting that darn good.

Wonderful knives. Big folders have always been what I love best.

The only problem is it takes so long from when they are dangled in front of our drooling faces until we can actually buy them... when can I get my hands on a 0777 let alone this newly announced one. Dang!
