Joe, could you explain what you mean by "light/med convex grind" ?
And, this is a ridiculously low price for the quality of knife and sheath that you make. $150 would still be a good deal for the buyer. $80 is a gift.

Hi Roland,

when I started doing convex grinds, I didnt know how to measure them. the convex grind on a big heavy chopper isnt the same as for a full sized hunting blade, or a small game knife like this one. so the only way I know to describe that would be light {think like a large pocket knife}, medium, and heavy {think big heavy chopper, machete sized}. the grind on this one, is a full convex, meaning that the grind flows from the edge to the spine, and has a light convex curve. the edge is finished on a norton fine india stone with microbevels, so it is easy to maintain without having to sharpen on a strop or similar device to maintain a convex edge.

so a light/med convex grind is a fairly thin blade for small game and turkey, but with enough strength to stand up to the rigors that you would normaly subject a knife of this size to, plus some.

I now have this knife & sheath. My second from Joe. I'm just as impressed and pleased with this one as i am with the first one.
I like how it looks. I like how it feels in hand. I like the forged blade, smooth even tapers and a hair poppin' edge.
What more do you need in a user knife ? Nothing ! Joe's knives are well crafted tools that you WILL use, and that's an advantage over all the 'fancy' ones i have. And his sheaths have a kydex like 'snap-in' fit.
I could not be more pleased.
Thank you Joe. You are a 'natural' at the craft of knifemaking.
