Been wanting to do a Teardrop HJ again, this time in Carbon steel!
W. Carman patented a punch for Napanoch Cutlery in 1908. Over 100 years later, his design lives again, thanks to a little piggyback ride on the BF knife, and some serious begging and pleading with an Engineer/designer!

That Harness Jack is a beauty! Great dye and jig pattern. The 85 pattern is something special --that's for sure!

I like the pinched bolsters Charlie, very nice piece.

That's something special! I don't usually like blade etchings, but that one seems to fit. And I love the punch design.

That's a winner for sure. As soon as my financial situation improves I'm going to have to get one.

Hi Charlie -

Very nice! I just ordered a cocobolo 85 with two blades. The punch version would have been nice, but the online vendor did not have one on the 85 page.

Thanks for the pictures.

OMG! Never even realized there was a HJ4, now this! Yep, gonna have to email you about these. That is a beauty, btw! I've come to really love the teardrop jack look.

Very impressive, looks just right, particularly like those scales.

After a few months of less appealling patterns, GEC has really pulled out all the stops with this one. Authentic!

That looks really good - I like the shield and blade etch. That is the total package and 'authentic' is right.

Charlie, do you know if there is a chance that GEC will release a run of 85s with bails?

Looks like a winner. Love that shield and style of jigging. I don't think GEC has ever used that shield before.

Charlie, That's an awesome knife! Punch looks great! Did they
get that punch pattern from up north?...;) Perfection!
