Another use for a wayward Damascus billet

Ed i love it !!
so that is the Perfect hamer for the new to forge guy's they can forge a Damascus look into their knife (LOL) just make sure the "Import" market never see's it or they will "Compliment" your genius.. Im just joking !!
it does make me think that would be Perfect for forging a "Pattern" into something soft like brass/copper /leather.. sorry i was thinking out loud :foot:

Thanks for the kind words folks! I have to admit that although some might think a Damascus Hammer is a bit over the top...it was a fun project...and I do have another one on the bench, waiting to be finish ground. This one recently sold, so I think I will take the next one to the Blade Show and see what folks think.
 
That has to be one of the best looking hammers I have seen. I really can't come up with the words, but excelent use of what would otherwise be scrap and ill feelings.
