Another Wacky Idea !!!!

Remember when Ragnar was selling those Viking pendants that could be used as a sharpening stone? I thought those were cool too.

He still is, actually. I got one over the winter. As many others have said it's a really fine stone suitable only as a finishing stone, but it's just too cool. :D

The VOX knife company used to make a really small knife with the same general purpose in mind. I saw a really interesting one over on the EDCforums.

There's been one or two dog-tag style knives offered. I think TAD Gear had one.

Wouldn't a Vic Executive or Bantam be a little bit safer? They're cheap, and stainless for sweaty inside-the-shirt carry. Oh yeah, readily available, too.

Buddha72, that is a neat idea. and LOL no I would not strangle you LOL.

Thanks for the vote of confidence though.

Here it is....I am sure Mr. Breeden could knock these out with no trouble at all!!;)...He might want to strangle me now that I have suggested it:P

They would work eh, they would be a lot better with M Breeden's convex grind !!!

I put two holes on my design so that it would hang flat over your t-shirt, I find pendants always sit oddly when they only have one hole !!!!

Thanks pit. Yea having the 2 holes would make it sit better. I am working on a baldric rig and I am going to have the holes at each end to of the sheath at the top of it.

I'd never heard of Vox before but here are a couple more of their designs......

that is a great idead/design Pit... it would definitely come in handy...

i think Joezilla has something similar made my Matt of ML knives....

I think this is a very good idea, or more accurately, a great brainstorm...

And I predict a couple of good knives come out of this...

This thread reminds me of the Japanese Kiridashi, which can be quite small.

I think I would combine two things....

The discoidal knife, and a leaf.....

Which, I would think that the the latter might have inspired the former....

But, if you made a leaf shaped knife, which would be much like a discoidal knife, that would be pretty cool.

But, what size are we thinking of? How long, how wide?

How about some articles, and drawings of actual knives of our ancestors for inspiration?

And a leaf shaped blade...
