Anti Knife Campaign in UK

It's about control and the UK's citizens keep giving up more and more freedoms.

...and it's about not "offending" certain groups in society that have a preponderance to using knives as offensive weapons, but will cry the "R" word at the drop of a hat. "So let's ruin it for everyone" is the typical political response by cowards, i.e. pretty much every parliamentarian ever. Not limited to the UK.

That sounds draconian to me, but it could be worse. I believe that California has a 3" blade limit on concealed carry knives.
City of Chicago has a 2.5" blade length limit on a carried knife. But, people aren't stabbing each other in Chicago because of it. Just shooting. So there is that.

Yeah, you couldn't pay me to live there. But the commies are slowly encroaching everywhere. They are using the old Russian tradition of the plodding bear - Take two steps forward, and if you have to take a step back you've still gained a step. This is not being political, it's a tried-and-true method of encroachment.

I'm about 45 miles from the city, away from most of the stupid laws. No mag limits, no knife blade length limits really, etc. I'm closer to Wisconsin than Chicago.

And I believe the penalty for encroachment is 5 yards, the Bears should know that by now.

The way you phrased that - with the “really” - got me curious so I looked it up. Unless I’m missing something, in Illinois, it’s illegal to carry ANY knife with a blade over 3” in length.

Another State I wouldn’t live in if that’s the case… :(

There is pretty much only one reason to stay in Illinois: Family.

What is the only thing that grows in Chicago? The crime rate.

Here is what is going on in the UK regarding knives.

I appreciate you spreading this info so people in the US know what happens after they take away guns. Knife control is like gun control. The key word is control.

Zero carry here .. All knives are banned from being carried , even multi tools with a knife blade .
I used to carry an original Leatherman ( the 1st one ) .. That's a no no now !
Welcome to Australia , commie central ! ( Super Nany on Steroids )

After divvying them up, I would think the Manchester Police have some solid knife collections🤫

You'd be surprised! Most of the stuff handed in is kitchen knifes and M Tech level crap.
If you look carefully at the 'knife angel' you will struggle to find a nice Randall, ESEE, or CRK in the melee.

Although there is what appears to be a Buckmaster in there
