So a little reading indicates that Cattaraugus was a company Case split from, which went toes up in the 60’s. Now Case makes some knives under their name? (Watch out, Tideoute/Northfield!
)
So I’m familiar with Case and their collectible historical rebranding of some of their knives; typical Case prices, typical Case quality. This recent run of Cattaraugus is interesting because of the copperlock-style blades on a trapper pattern. It’s more interesting because of the GEC prices on a Case knife.
If it’s the same Case quality, though… well my interest would quickly die off. So, what can anyone say about these recent Case “Cattaraugus” branded knives?
I did a cursory Google search to see if this thread already existed and didn’t come up with anything, but I also can’t imagine you folks haven’t talked about this so forgive me if this is old news in a new thread.
