Any .22 Fans?

Little bit of a 22 fan

Going to scope the 10/22 eventually. I want either a Marlin 39 or one of the octagon barrel Henrys very badly. Have shot a few Henry 22s and they are pretty darn good guns. The Henrys are much more reasonably priced than the Marlins.

I really wanted a Henry Frontier (Goldenboy without the gold), but just didn't have the money. I've shot a 39A and a lever action 30-30 (both Marlin and nice), but there's something about the unbelievably smooth action of a Henry. Next rifle will be a Henry.

I have the H001T Fronteer model and love it. Hardly ever shoot anything else when I'm out do to how much I like that gun. It's definantly worth the money.

I'm a fan of 22's also. Have quite a few rifles and handguns in that caliber. Even though I have others that shoot as well and some better, I still like my Remington 541-S the best. I really like the sleek sporter with walnut stock such as the Remington 541's and the 547. The Savage Mark II classic is no slouch either.

Good shooting Handwrecker with the Blazer ammo. I was looking at your targets and I expected that it was 25 yds due to the ammo and not 50 yds. So, I'm pretty impressed with your shooting.

I own a Henry h001m in 22 magnum and I believe Henry's are a excellent value for the money . They realy have there own niche in the firearms market because they produce pretty much the only affordable rimfire lever action out there.

Love the .22. Anschulz 64, Marlin 39A. Browning semi auto rifle, S&W 34, Browning Buckmark with a 10" bull barrel, S&W 41, and a Colt Woodsman match grade. Afraid I've gotten rid of a few that I should have kept. The Anschulz is the most accurate gun I have shot. The Browning semi the most enjoyable. The Colt is probably my favorite as I got it from my mom after my dad passed away. Cheap to shoot. I have a little piece of property out of town that I can go shoot on and not have to worry about disturbing the neighbors too much. Last time I shot centerfire, the county sheriff showed up. I think its a really neat cartridge.

I've got a Browning Buckmark 10" with a Leupold 2x on it, and it will put a clip full (10) of CCI Stingers into an inch at 50 yds off sandbags.

What those high velocity Stingers will do to a squirrel has to be seen to be believed. I put one in the armpit of one who thought he was hidden around the tree trunk at about 25 yds and it nearly tore him in half-- only a piece of skin about an inch wide held the bottom half to the top.

I haven't shot my .22s in a couple of years. I am aiming at buying a Ruger .22 or a S&W .22 revolver, can't decide. I prefer .22 over all other calibers.

I also have a Henry .22 lever-gun and love it. What's nice is you can use shorts, longs and long rifles, all out of the same gun. I also have a couple older .22 rifles and pistols/revolvers. Among those my Ruger .22 convertible single action is my favorite. Has cylinders for both reg .22 as well as for .22 magnum. Perfect woodsrunning/backwoods guns.
