Not gonna name the person unless he wants to reply but...

I’ve never had him sharpen a knife before. We have sent him stuff for cerakote before and the quality wasn’t good. Bumpy as if there was stuff under the coating

He does mirror edge sharpening which a lot of people hate because it doesn’t hold an edge for shit haha

I use a 220 grit belt on a 1x30 and then strop it. Sharp af

I had him do cerakote, stonewashing and a 20dps mirror edge... we shall see but im not expecting much after reading this

IIRC he uses a certified cerakote applicator... but apparently NIC Industries doesn't teach the applicators how to set up a proper paint room because this isn't the first complaint I've heard about the coating not looking good w/ dust and contaminants caught in the coating. Not only does the paint need to be meticulously filtered but you must have a proper paint room w/ a down draft or side draft set up, positive air pressure, to suck all the dust out. If done properly it does look good and is nice and smooth.

I only do up through bronze... anodizing is too finicky for me to mess w/ higher voltages than that lol

I think you'd probably be my one-stop shop for modifications if you did anodizing. Everything else you do is spectacular haha.

I would avoid FE at all costs. Bad sharpening, bad mods, extremely ugly mods etc. Reducing the value of knives by alot and voiding warranty is also even worse.

I have had regular comms with FE and my knife has shipped back to me. Ill post once I have in hand but it appears his comm issues are resolved and the knife looks awesome.

Got my sigil back today. looks good for the most part. Edge is... alright. but i got my knife back and it looks better than before.
