Any fans of the Congress pattern out there?

Nice ones indeed! Naturally, my eye immediatly went to that stag Case. Then wandered on to the rest. Those bone handled Cases are easy on the eye too. Looking at those I just kinda had a flash of my great grandpa Rudd. Those red bones just have a look that takes me back about 40 years or a few more.

Here are two of my favorites

Here's one I got a few years ago. It's a reverse congress designed by Joe Kious and made by Schrade.

Heres another Bulldog, this one a 6 blade in abalone. I do like the look of the matchstriker pulls that Bulldog uses too.

I've not been a big fan of the congress pattern in the past. I guess it just never really caught my eye. I do have one old knife of this pattern. I came across it while doing research on the old Camillus brands. This is a Fairmount circa 1930-1940. It isn't in the best of shape, but it does illustrate the pattern from that manufacturer in that time period, when they were still known as A. Kastor and Sons. And it was obviously someone's EDC for many years.

Nice old knife, Codger; looks german?? Imported by A.Kastor?

No, Fairmount was one of their domestic produced brandings. So was Streamline, Syracuse, Stainless Cutlery Co., Sword Brand, Clover Brand, Shield Brand, Stiletto, and several others. They did earlier import the congress pattern from Germany under both the W.H. Morley & Sons and A.W. Wadsworth & Son marks. Sometimes these were also combined with the Cloverbrand mark, or a clover leaf on the pile side.
