Anybody heard of or dealt with Blackwater Cutlery?

www.blackwatercutlery.com

I emailed them three times over the last seven days with no response whatsoever. I placed an order, got their autoresponder with order number and link to track the order, real legitimate looking... then nothing. I suspected they did not have it in stock (it's a discontinued item, and I think the product page just hadn't been taken down - that's why I started emailing). Curious about anybody else's experience.

I've ordered from stale product pages before, from other companies, but have always gotten a polite email quite rapidly explaining that they were out of stock, which is just fine.

Do you have a fax machine? I had a look on their website and they have a fax number. Perhaps you could give that a try.

Did they give you their phone number on their transaction documents or anything? That would be even better

As i posted in the other thread (before i realized it was from 2004, sorry...:o i'm new)....

"I registered just to find out about this vendor actually. It's been a week now, i emailed three of their email addresses, no reply.

Then it hit me: the phone number? 555-555-1212. I'm kind of ashamed to admit it, but this is definitely a fraud. How do they stay up so long without being taken down? I'm usually good at spotting fakes, but it was so high up on google's search list (not that that means anything, i know), and the site looked perfect. Oh well, enjoy it while you can Mr. Cutlery, my check card does chargebacks:D and maybe it'll bring some attention to this scam."

Looking at that website, i'm highly curious how you actually managed to order anything at all.
I cant look up any products, and none of the words I used, match any description.

As far I know they have a couple of folders, made by Benchmade, axis and frame lock.
I have a tanto Lum folder, very nice and solid knife.

I think there are two "Blackwater" enterprises.

"Blackwater Cutlery" and "Blackwater" the 'tactical' people.

IIRC, it's the same Blackwater. Their stuff is made for them by BM (same with the HK, Harley Davidson, etc)

That is "Blackwater Gear", not "Blackwater Cutlery".

Just pulled one NIB and there is no mention of "Blackwater Cutlery" in any of the "Blackwater Gear" knife literature.

The domain is registered to a Willie Jordan with a PO Box registered in Garland, Texas.

swjordan100@yahoo.com is the email address on record for the domain, maybe one of you will have some luck trying that email. Also, 9724952690 is the phone number on record for both "Walter Jordan" and Blackwater Cutlery. Different from the fax line, it might also be worth trying.
