Guys,
Just to help clarify, Mike has asked that these knives NOT be marked with anything about BladeForums. They will be marked "First Production Run" and "1 of 500" , with of course the rest of the info, Company, Designer, model, and 154cm.

We are VERY pleased to be doing this project, and I'm proud to be offering it to BladeForums members first. We initially introduced this knife in 420HC to get the cost down so it would appeal to the larger market. I hope you guys understand. But, believe me, I have wanted to make this knife in a higher grade steel all along for the more advanced customers, like yourselves. This project will prove alot to CAMILLUS if it goes the way Mike and I think. So, in the future, try to understand where we are coming from if you see a knife in a steel that you, the advanced BF member, doesn't deem "worthy". Believe me, we will sell ALOT more EDC's with 420HC blades at the lower price, but we want to make the higher performance models also. We all need to thank Mike Turber for taking the plunge [committing to buy this run of knives]. He certainly helped speed up this project that may have taken awhile to get off the ground.

Also guys, Mike is really giving you a good deal on this knife. Some other dealers would not discount @ all on an exclusive like this. Suggested retail is $84. Check out what he is selling them for.

When will they be ready for delivery? If it within a couple of months, count me in!!

Will, just want you to know that there are a lot of us out here that appreciate what Camillus has done and is doing now and realize that you are a business as well and have to keep the business healthy. Some of us get a bit anal about knives, forgetting that there are many people out there who don't buy at the higher end of the spectrum. Sure, we would love to have everyone experience the joy we get from owning and using high quality cutlery but it just doesn't dominate other people's lives like it does most knife knuts.

So you won't get any complaints from me about 420HC because from a practical point, that steel has worked in every day life for a long, long time. But I sure do appreciate your efforts to bring better production stuff at reasonable prices to us snobs.

Mucho thanks!

Sounds cool to me. I'll see in about a month or so. Hopefully they aren't all gone by then.

Barry,
We are looking to start shipping them from CAMILLUS in April. We will keep everybody up to date as we progress. Keep in mind the "Early Bird Drawing" that we will be running in conjunction with Darrel Ralph/1sks.com/ and CAMILLUS!

I am going to get a friend of mine in the US to buy two! (for me!) As to the interest, does the Pope pray?

Pity it will not be marked Bladeforums though.

Looks a great knife in a great steel. Hope it sells very well.

Will there be a version available for us Left-Handers?

Great collaboration, guys. My cyber order has already been placed.

Walt, I've also heard that Tom has been attempting this without much success. Seems he's been having a bitch of a time finding those elusive elliptical drill bits.
