Any interest in a group-buy of natural, green and black canvas micarta?

I have a friend who makes "presses" for micarta which are simpler and more portable than any on the market. He doesn't make many and I am not trying to plug them but if anyone needs such a thing they could contact me via email and I will try to put you into contact with him. Again, I hope Im not hijacking or plugging and I have NO self interest in this at all, its just a cool little devise.

Daniel, I'll take some of each color.
Let me know when she arrives and I'll get you the $cheese$ ;)

Ray,

The origins of natural micarta (by far the most rare) are sketchy and up to much speculation. Some believe that through many years of compression and heat, it evolved and came into being. Others feel that it was a gift from the divine. :D

Yes, I'd be interested in one each of 12x12" black canvas and green. Thanks for offering!

Daniel I would be down with some black and green. I bet you could sell off any extra that you end up with. Of course that depends on what you have to charge for the cutting.

Thanks

It will only add a dollar or two. I just wanted you guys to know that while I'm not doing this for a profit....I ain't doing it just for fun-n-favors! ;)

What is natural micarta? Is it a tree? Does it have a momma? Did Noah have it on the Ark?

:D

Natural = means you can eat it...just peel and chew!

 :p

Some people call it Gold, some call it Amber, some even call it Brown (but it's not Brown....at first anyway...it does become brown over time).

So....correct me if I'm wrong....but it looks like most are interested in Black, many in Green, and a few in Natural.

I'll put in the order for the material and when it comes in....we'll start cuttin' away at that cheese, David. :D

(I'll also be able to give you a more firm price at that time.)

Thanks!

Dan

I'd be interested in a 12x12 sheet of black.....don't know how to cut it or shape it, but I want it. ;)

Daniel, I checked the USPS web site for shipping rates. http://www.usps.com/prices/priority-mail-prices.htm 12x12 will fit right into Priority Mail Large Flat Rate Box but the box will be half empty for most of us beginners (it is 6" high). Do you consider cutting in different sizes or at least reducing one dimension by 1/8" to fit into 13-5/8" x 11-7/8" x 3-3/8" Medium Flat Rate Box to save us $3 on shipping? I do not want to sound cheap by why pay extra to USPS? I am interested in black and green and maybe natural.
