Any interest in a Mile High Beckerhead gathering???

Yep, if we can just get a date and place, we can probably get this ball rolling. I like the idea of Roosevelt National Forest for a place. I think most of us are on the front range, anyways, IIRC. We can bring some steel and play with it.

Yeah, it's awesome. Good hiking/camping/shooting/etc.
 
Pick a date guys, and I will try to work around it.

Here's some ideas for contests

Tomahawk throwing
Chopper chop-off
Roshambo
Who can stare at the sun the longest
Chilli Competition
If there's a lake or trout-bearing stream/river nearby a Fishing derby would be fun too.

For classes/activities you could find someone knowledgeable about wild edibles or plant identification, first aid was a great idea Mauser, carving or trap-making classes, maybe someone is a black-powder buff that can bring a flintlock or two and teach some basic intro classes, even stuff like how to smoke meat, or primitive flint knapping or fire starting. There's so much stuff that alot of people are really skilled in and don't get a chance to pass along to others that much.

Anyways just my contribution to get some minds thinkin about this. Ofcourse if I come to Colorado...you guys all have to come up to BC.
 
Oh and there will always be Cubsfan's tent. That's a class/activity/contest all to itself... lol :P
