They use smooth surface on Civivi model and bead blasted on WE model. It's a regression.

This is the lock on the Civivi Button Lock Elementum (not the Elementum 2 with a button lock)
They did not look this bad on my phone (sigh)
if you can tell from the Loch Ness Yeti quality pics the liner is what pushes the button to engage the cookie bite portions in the blade end both open and closed.
So it's still not a Compression lock copy. Uses the liner the same way but not enough in my opinion.
