Any knives you've procrastinated buying

Procrastination can be good or bad...

I was waiting impatiently for the Spyderco Positron. I came close to a pre-order several times. I'm glad I didn't. The knife released and was a huge disappointment in the criteria that mattered to me. Now they're already selling for less than retail on the exchange. Maybe I'll pick one up someday at 60% off MSRP, but this is a case where procrastination was a WIN for me, lol.

Conversely, I've waited forever to pull the plug on a Shiro, and now my first is in the mail because the deal was too good to pass up; Not procrastinating for the WIN!

Next up on the procrastination list is a Rockstead. That one may percolate for a while!

Aranawhite, the 484-1 is a nice little knife. I just sold mine today.

Congrats Nfd! That Nak fits and feels super, I'm sure You're lovin' it. May be where i end up too, I'd have it today if my lovely wife didn't shoot me down; God willing i'll work more and get it soon; doubt i'll find a PTCC to handle before i'm ready. The BM is sweet in G10 too.

Cold Steel Hold Out I
I really got hooked on the big one. I couldn't carry that legally here by a long jot and really don't have much use for it as an EDC anyway . . . but oooooooo la la . . . I wanted one.

I finally settled for the Hold Out III and use the hell out of it and like it more than I thought I would. Since I compromised on the size I did not compromise in the steel and got the good stuff ( CTS-XHP ).

The other knife I really couldn't make myself forget about was the good old Case Trapper. I kept telling my self I only wanted it in CV steel, couldn't make up my mind on the scales, but then it became clear . . . I only could picture owning the Stag handled one so I went with the Surgical Steel (stainless). Stag doesn't come in CV in a new knife. I'm quite happy with it now and don't miss the CV at all.

I'm procrastinating quite a few purchases right now, primarily the Spyderco Police and the Cold Steel Lucky. I want them, it's just that other things are eating up my money and attention.

I've actually just started picking up a bunch of blades I had been wanting to buy but put off for a while:
- Cold Steel Counter Point 1
- Spyderco Vallotton
- CRKT Sakimori
- Cold Steel Bowie Spike

Still on the list:
- Cold Steel Leatherneck (D2 clip point)
- Spyderco Endura ZDP
- Cold Steel Rajah II
- Schrade SCHF27
- Cold Steel Hold Out (Can't decide on I or II!)

I almost bought a Leatherneck in D2 and still might, Have the Rajah2 and might get a second to beat the tar out of. Have a Hold Out 1 and it is one really freakin big slicer. I am procratinating on the AK-47 Field Knife because of that hump in the grip. Too bad, I really want one of those.

Great question. Becker BK9 for me. Its relatively cheap for such a great slab of 1095 crovan. But I don't baton and every time I go to pull the trigger, I look at my 1219 KA-BAR and realize it does everything i need a full size fixed blade to do and I back off.

Anything much North of $100...

That will (hopefully) change in 2016; the new cap will be $350 Max...

I've been procrastinating getting a Bark River and a Fiddleback Forge. Each company has a ton of great options, I just can't decide.

Well, not these knives per se but rather the style/category-

I have been six years wanting to add a Filipino/Malaysian and a Persian knife/blade to my collection. Gone through many opportunities, auctions and chances and finally got them this Christmas!

I keep putting off the Spyderco Mili - imagine that will continue to be in production for years. The ones I did put off and wished I hadn't were the GEC Beer Scout and the full size BM Rukus. If I knew Spyderco was going to phase out the Mili it would become a first in line purchase.

Kwon Kwang,

Cold Steel Lucky

Yep . . . that could be my first carbon fiber knife. It's pretty cool. Not until next year though. Got to make it through winter / business slow.

Do you ever wish the your Hold Out-I had the clip put on for tip down carry ?

I said "holy sh**" out loud when I saw this. Freakin' sweet, dude!

Now might be the right time for you to get one, as pre-orders are now open for a carbon fiber Military sprint run in 52100 steel. I hate spending this much on a blade, but I'm not going to be able to resist that purchase myself.

Man, I hear that...once things pick up for me, I'm probably going to blow all my spare recreational cash on blades.:D For now, I'm taking it nice and slow, saving and making very carefully calculated purchases.
...said the person who bought a Sage 1 on a whim. D'oh! I'm sure I'll love it once it arrives, though! That's going to be my first CF-handled knife.

I actually don't own a Hold Out. I do like tip down carry on many of my folders, especially my Spydies (and it's AFAIK absolutely necessary on flippers, of which I own a couple), but I typically prefer my Cold Steels tip up; I use a lanyard to get them out of my pocket with greater ease, and this is especially helpful with their smaller waved offerings (though entirely unnecessary on the big'uns).
