The ruger I have ia no doubt a sweet gun I had it tuned and smoothed out when I bought it everything is like glass. I really like it... What was I thinking....?

Any love for Colt wheel guns?

I love wheel guns! I'm more of a Smith guy but do love the Colts as well. Would love to own a python as some have already stated but I'm not willing to pay the premiums that people are asking for them now. I would rather have a new S&W performance center revolver than a used Colt Python. But different strokes for different folks I guess. Either way congrats on receiving a wonderful gift.
My Python is THE favorite of all of my handguns, both revolver and pistol.

Probably owned at least ten over the years and currently have three. A S&W with 8 3/8 barrel, a Redhawk with 10" barrel (my fav), and a Blackhawk. The Redhawk is much the stronger gun and has the Ruger both ends cylinder lockup which is far superior to the S&W. Also no screws to shake loose on the Redhawk, unlike the S&W which is something to constantly watch out for.
