the carbon 840 model to be precise??I used a carbon version as my primary woods kife for the better part of a year last year.. it has a wicked patina now but has held up rather nicely.. I have battoned with it on occasion but have kept serious abuse to a minimum due to the absence of a full tang.. It is super light and handy.. and it probabyl has one of the best feeling grips of any commercial blade I've owned.. I saw the knife tests destruction video. and was impressed although I would never subject any blade to that type of work however I thought the pre destruction field tests where rather interesting.

What are your opinions on this knife WOuld you consider it worthy as the belt knife in a trio?

Great knives, I mainly use mine as fishing knife, the no slip grip is good and the blade makes a decent fillet knife.

Excellent knives and probably the best sheath of the low end Moras, although you still have to be careful with it.

Have you checked out the new Craftline All-Around yet. It's stainless but it has a better finish, is thicker and wider, comes in a hard-to-lose color and has an improved grip. It'll be my next Mora purchase.

I plan on picking one up for myself soon, and I've heard nothing but good things so far!

I bought one not long ago and though I haven't used it much I like it. It has a good feel in the hand and the blade is nice and thin. The sheath could definitely stand some improvement IMO. While it wouldn't likely be my first choice as the FB in a trio I would have no problem using it as such.

Ive got the 840 and the 780 Triflex and prefer the latter because i have big hands. The Triflex is bigger in handle and blade and is differentially hardened.--KV

Love my Mora Clipper. The sheath is ugly as the day is long, but works great and is super easy to clip to a belt or loop on a pack. Mine generally rides on my pack with a Mora 2000 doing duty on my belt. The clipper gets insanely sharp, the only thing I worry about is that the pointy tips does look a bit fragile, but it's held up well. I don't use it hard, because I have other tools for that kind of stuff, but I wouldn't be afraid to either.

Excellent knife   Love the grip, takes a good edge, very light. I had separate sheaths made for both of mine since I don't like being able to shake a knife out of a sheath. As for use, I've come to prefer it over the 510 because it hasn't given me hot spots yet. The grip is more comfortable, and I trust it more in wet conditions. I wouldn't want it as a primary in my trio, but I do keep one in my hiking pack since it's so light.

I have gone on lots of Hunting/Camping trips with just the Clipper, Whats not to love.

I love the Clippers. I've got four of 'em in Carbon flavor.

I recently got the new AllAround which seems to simply be a beefed up Clipper with a better sheath. If they ever offer it in carbon, I think it would be the ultimate Mora.

You know, the stainless clippers, or for that matter, all of the Stainless Mora's are pretty darn good knives. Other that striking a fire steel, I would rather have the SS. My oldest Mora is a SS Clipper and it gets used more that my Carbon Clippers. It holds a good edge, resharpens easily and is totally maintenance free. I think it was 7.00 when I got the first two. What more can a guy ask? They have been through 8-10 Camping/Hunting seasons.

Keep hearing great things about the AllAround, looks like it'll be the next Mora to pick up :)

Jim, are the spines on the Carbon Clippers squared better for striking over the SS Clippers? I have both, but haven't tried striking with the SS yet.

It is pretty square but doesn't spark like the carbon. In a pinch, it will work.

I love my Clipper and it loves me.....

i like the clipper model it has a realy nice handle fells reel nice when doing hard cutting task or lots of carving even though it has the shortest tang in the mora line but his still has a lot of strength the blade do i even have to type it if is a mora blade wtf wont it cut through the sheath is ok the best in my opioon but still not the worst is has a nice clip unlike other moras so you wont to always take off you belt to put on the knife if you are carryin it in the position and if i rember correctly the sheath had great retention of the knife i hope this has helped

i love my clipper. i just used it tonight to prepare a fire. great knife. it took a wicked edge and hasnt seem to wear much.

I love the clipper as a knife, I'm not crazy about the sheath. While the clip feature is easy for casual use it is not secure enough for dense bush, its just too easy to strip off with vines or weeds getting up under the sheath. The knife lacks a lanyard hole. Both of these "problems" can be remedied with a few minor mods, or you can opt for pretty much the same knife that already has them. Mac

I had one, but a relative came over and liked it so much I gave it to them. Gotta spread the love.
