Hi all!

I am now pretty muche excitingly waiting mailman to bring me my very first Trapper. Waiting is worst of all, especially when I went so much troubles to find one that I liked.

I was wondering if there are any fan's of trapper's who might share pictures of their beauties?

I'll be sharing pictures of mine once I get my Case Wharny Trapper.

This picture is of two of my favorite knives back when they were new. The Trapper (Mini) is in my pocket today as a matter of fact.
It doesn't look quite like this photo anymore, it looks better :D

Queen really makes beautiful handles. And swayback jack is matching nicely. Very nice pair!

Here's a couple of my favorites...

On top is a Camillus made with Carbon V marked blades, a leftover from Cold Steel's Classic run. On the bottom is one done by a jobber for the JW Knife Co, Kentucky for the Southern Wiretwisters. It is a barehead in stag and slender for a trapper. It is numbered 86 of 100.

While we're on the subject, anybody know anything about the origins of the "trapper" pattern? What are the defining characteristics? When did companies start calling them "trappers," or were they called something else before?

Here are a few. Top to bottom: Queen in Burnt Bone, Case Damascus and Rogers Bone, Case slim barehead, and Schrade Old Timer.

Congrats on yer new trapper
I never grew fond of the full size Trappers. However I do like the Mini Trappers and the Schrade Trappers. The Schrade Trappers (3 7/8 inches) are a little smaller than most full size Trappers and a little bigger than most Mini Trappers....

I have some other Case Mini Trappers that I don't have pictures of, but this is still one of my favorites.

I've had this one for quite a few years now, and it has been in my pocket for about a month now on its current rotation. Early Uncle Henry with Schrades carbon steel blades :D

Thank you. I would have liked Mini trapper but they're pretty much sold already and tiny trapper would have been too small.

I have to say those two trapper's are really, really beautiful. Thank you for sharing :)
That case trapper is interesting as it has pen blade. Looks bit like Jack knife. Really nice! I have to admit I have never been huge fan of spey blade.

Much love for trappers....

I got a Case Mini trapper last week and haven't snapped a pic of it yet. Love that little trapper. It's just right for carrying around and I got it in CV steel and have a nice patina going on it.

My favorite Case Trapper is my Shepherd Hills SFO Red Box Elder trapper. It's just gorgeous.

A few more to add !

Schrade End of days knives. put together with anything that was left over.

Made by Schrade, New York Knife Co commemorative.

Canal Street Cutlery, Moon Pir Trapper and Half Moon Pie Trapper with Elk Horn.

This one will make you cry. Found in a drainage ditch behind the North Myrtle Beach, SC sewer treatment plant about 12 years ago.
