I still find the simple Old Timer hard as heck to beat. Anyone else have some they love and can share with us?

That is an interesting tang stamp, I am sure it is more valuable than the regular usa ot's. I just perused my files of my OT's and I do not have any pic's but that does not mean I do not love these. I found a display case in a hardware store and picked up a 96OT 2 blade trapper, clip and spey blade with tweezers and metal toothpick. I was not even aware there was that model. I still want a Muskrat. I have about 5 or so patterns. I may get a hankering to collect them all. It would be a nice display.

I love Old Timers , I buy or trade for them when I can find them. Ill post some pics later.

My absolute favorite knives. I love the 34OT and 8OT. Sadly both mine were lost, but those will be the first ones I get given the chance. The old 1095 takes such a great edge. And come on, just look at the blade profiles. They are great and gorgeous. IMO, some of the best knives ever made. Its a shame about Schrade...

Top to bottom: 340T (2x), 330T and 80T. And sharp? I sliced the holy moly out of my finger with one of these last week.

Schrade USA 80T. Love this knife, as my 80 year old dad carries and abuses one just like it. This one has the N.Y. USA stamp.

I have a USA-made 34OT in my pocket right now. I can't say enough about this knife since finding it at a garage sale last summer. Solid, feels great in hand, sharp as hell and a great looker to boot. I wish it were a tad larger but it gets regular work carry since it doesn't freak people out when I have to use it. Does anybody have experience with 34OT's made with Derlin scales? I found a site advertising them at an attractive price but i'm worried they may be the Chinese made OT's. It does list the steel as being carbon, are the Chinese Schrades still 1095?

Yep, the old ones are the ones I like....not to slam Taylor, but just not the same at all.

crom....if you found them at a really good price I would try to find out from the seller where they were made. Likely if they are at a good price they are being made in China under the Talyor brand.
All the ones you see posted here have the Delrin scales the difference is the whole knife is made by Schrade.

Old Timers and Uncle Henrys (USA Schrades only, thank you) are my favorite knives to collect.

I picked these up yesterday at an antique shop in Tennessee.

Got this one not too long ago..

and found this Schrade IXL set in a local antique shop in town.

I have tons of knives but love my Schrades. They remind me of my childhood. I used to stand in stores and just gawk at the Old Timers and Uncle Henrys in the wood display stand.

I love mine so much I won't carry them. I have a Case CV small Texas Jack that gets all the pocket time. My son loves the Schrade line too. He has several models ....all USA made.

Well I have shown this quite a bid so I hesitate to keep doing it, but here ya go--it lands in my pocket quite a bit. Schrade 61OT

Some real beauties so far....glad to see some love for the old timers. Like most of you they remind me of my childhood....just something about them that I really like, hard to put my finger on it.

lwt210 love the Uncle's too.....don't think I've ever seen the gut-hook version you just picked up though....nice score!

This is by far my favorite. The LB3. Granted, it's an Uncle Henry, but a couple were already posted. Great little knife for the pocket. I sent this one out for some custom stag and filework, and now can't bring myself to use it. So I have a regular one for an EDC.

i love my 120T, but when i moved i dunno what happened to it...hopefully it got packed and not lost, i'll be devastated since its the knife that got me into knives. Had a PERFECT almost black patina on the blade, sharp enough to pop hairs and small enough to fit in the back pocket of my wallet.

Hope you find it soon Robert B.....would love to see that patina, a knife with a good patina does my heart good!

Love what's been posted so far, thanks for sharing guys.....glad to see knives that didn't cost a bazillion dollars still loved.

Sweet!! What's the model number on the one with scissors.....haven't seen one of those either!
