Any Love For Us Old Timers?

Mini5.jpg

Here's a "Factory" 80T. Bone handle from "Back in the day" When you could go to an antique show and find this kinda stuff laying on a dealer's table (Before the internet). I still beat the bushes trying to find some treasures & still get lucky every once in a while. I guess it's the thrill of the hunt that keeps us going. Barry

That is a knife most of us would kill for. Great find.

No pics, but I have an 8OT in the EDC rotation. I also have a whole bunch of 8OT's, 6OT's, and Sharp Fingers laid up, in original packaging. They'll make great gifts for the grandkids someday. Right now my girls are 6 and zero, so I'll be holding on to them for a while yet. :D

Great thread!

Don't get to show off in this forum too often. I've been lucky a few times on some Schrade hunts, and spent a little to much time and money on Ebay.

Love these...I have an 89 and a 96 like yours, as well as a Middleman Jack and a small three bladed stockman.

I also have a scrimshawed Sharpfinger and a Deerslayer.

Love Old Timers.

Some amazing collections and some great finds, you guys have absolutely blown me away!

No better way to start the new year than with some Old Timer love.

This 80T was given to me by my dad about 30 years ago. It's the oldest pocketknife I still own, that isn't a Victorinox. I have a 1080T that's US made, but not as old.

jnevill......too bad you haven't heard of them, they are good knives you should get yourself 30 or 40 of them!! Very nice collection!!! Thanks for sharing!

Here are some Old Timers of mine.

None of them are pristine and minty, but they've all been around and have some stories built in. :)

JohnnyR....that's a keeper for sure, very nice!
Coonskinner....I like 'em, they've got history!

Can't recall the last time I posted here, but I sure was surprised to pop in and see Old Timers in the General discussion area. I thought we'd been "put away for safe keeping" in the Collectors Forum. :D

Here are a couple of my favorites, followed by an Old Timer display I put together for a local museum:

This is one knife I actually do love:D

80-OT

And rightly so. Nice seeing the full package there. The tan box covers are not too common, and marked too. Nice one hunterfisher808.

And Bob W. good to see you, and how are things down in the San Juans? Nice showing, love the red bone set.

That's the 72OT. There are actually three of them in that pic.

This one must be about as rare as the very first 8 OT with bone handles. This one is smooth Delrin with embedded gold dust. I speculate that it was concurrent with other variations from the first year.
