Any Microtech EDC's?

I used to rotate between an ultratech, makora II, l.c.c. lightfoot d/a, halo v and a special forces. Now usually only the ultratech gets regular pocket time. I still love them but there are others I'd rather carry

The UTX or LUDT are in my pocket almost every day. The Scarab has been seeing more carry time lately also. But I still have a few safe queens too.;)

Newest Microtech acquisition. This one is a bit more office friendly

Great thread and some beautiful MTs you gents have! I'm a fairly big Microtech fan. Here's a quick pic of the current collection. Out of these, I EDC the SOCOM Delta, the green and black handled Combat Troodons, the DOCs and occasionally one of the Ultratechs. My favorites have to be the Halo Vs (especially the black tactical tanto, although the satin tanto is beautiful too) and the SOCOM Elite tanto. IMHO, MT does a great tanto grind. The Makora II is awesome due to its size and the fact it's D/A. The Venomtech is more of a novelty...cool to have and play around with, but not much use to it when it comes to practicality. I do however like the apocalyptic finish it sports. I'm hoping MT will get around to producing some more standard-line folders. I'm having a fit to score a drop point SOCOM Delta!

I have a Socom and Kestrel that are both in the rotation. Probably more often the Kestrel as the Socom carries so big. Ultratech is in the mail and should be here soon. I'm sure it will get carried also

Something different for you guys. But I definitely edc it, along with others of the same breed.

I carry , and flip the modified one on the right.

One of the balisong communities treasured legends.

Crowned the spine, removed the horns, and latch. One of the best ever made. Microtech should be proud.

Gorgeous! How smooth is the opening compared to the SOCOMs? I've been eyeing one of these.

Never handled a SOCOM, but the Mini Matrix runs on bearings. It seems Microtech uses no lube, or crap lube like Tuf-Glide. Add some good oil, like Abu Garcia Reel Oil, and it makes a world of difference, especially if you take them apart and lube both sides of the bearings and the blade pivot shaft. My Mini Matrix blade will close under its own weight, even for a thin 3" blade.

Apply the same TLC to your DOC, and you CAN open the blade with the thumb studs, no matter what Jim Skelton says on youtube. I can even flick my DOC open using the middle finger from underneath.

One of my favorite carries is my Socom Elite in S35VN with CF inlays. It's the perfect size for me. Great, pointy blade shape (clip point). It's light for its size, it has not developed play or gone off center after 3 years of carry. It also utilizes a bearing pivot, so it flies open. Great knife.

I EDC an Ultratech drop point / stonewashed, and have for a few years now - I love it.

BTW, Microtech sells direct at a discount to LEOs. Unfortunately, I didn't find this out until after I already bought my first one...

After a wrek or so with the ultratech I am not sure it will leave my pocket very often

My most favorite Microtech.

I do love others.. Just not like this one.

I edc my absolute favorite Microtech. Mini Socom Elite auto. Just got a D/a Socom, but that will probably remain a safe queen.

All of which have been EDC's, the Ultratech has booted quite a few out of my pocked as of late.

I EDCd a D/A Socom while I was in Iraq.

I thought the OP wanted to see pics of well used Microtechs? These all look like brand new knives to me! I had a Socom Elite that I carried for a couple years. It looked pretty beat up when I sold it, but I still doubled my money.

Since there's no Microtech forum, I thought I would just post here.

So I'm just wondering if there is anyone here who EDC's a Microtech(s)? I personally have a Socom Delta Tanto with Aluminum Handle, and because it doesn't have a scratch on it (yet) I have trouble bringing myself to carry it. If you do carry a Microtech, let's see it! I love seeing beat up user Microtechs. Hell, just post a picture of a Microtech if you got it, doesn't matter which model!

He did but then he changed it to "Hell, just post a picture of a Microtech if you got it."

Ok ok, I guess I skimmed it and didn't see that part. I wish I had a picture of my old Socom. That thing had tons of character!

I have to admit, I like seeing high quality knives with some use on them. I think all the marks that accumulate on them just make them look better.
