Any of you guys wear ponchos?

I don't have a poncho, but I have a blanket and a pair of scissors, so I figure that at any moment I'm about ten seconds away from having a poncho.

(blatantly stolen from Demitri Martin)

$112?! Don't get me wrong, that's one sweet poncho, but for that price? I don't even wanna think about what that would be in AUD.

I remember at one time a person could buy old mil surp wool ponchos. They were from one of the Eastern European nations.

"Yeah, but you don't look like the one who'll wear it! Couple of steps back...":D

CLINT rules:thumbup:

But that price tag is a bit much, might need to do some bounty-hunting:eek:

the local Trading Post, the place to get your used CDs, DVDs, VHS tapes, drug paraphanelia, peircing accessories, and hackysacks, carries some decent looking ponchos for something like $20. i wanted one really badly for a while, but got over it pretty quickly...doesn't seem too practical for my personal uses, but obviously that might not be the case for you...

I would love to have (and always dreamed of having) a poncho like Clints with a gunbelt underneath without a gun of course. I don't have CCW. On the gunbelt I would have a holster for my Leatherman, flashlight, Altoids tin, cellphone, and anything else. I would love to see the cops faces when the store calls them 'to get this cowboy'. I frequent a few stores quite often so I know that they would leave me alone after that, but it would be fun. I am different just like the goth people and they don't stop them.

With that poncho, Id be a cowboy superhero. Add an Indiana Jones hat and Id be a double superhero.

I keep one of these in my car.

As a poncho it works alright. The bag is sewn in and in no way can be used as a hood in the rain. Thats the only bad part about it. Its fleece lined with a waterproof outer shell. The one I have is beige/green but that one seems to be discontinued.

Works great as a ground throw/blanket, and I've used it as a cushion when turkey hunting. Its a pretty tough blanket/poncho for being a Coleman cheapie.
