any one know

Ah, I thought you were going on a jungle survival course. Some of the stuff they're telling you to bring sounds a little off but I don't really know what I'm talking about. I may be here alone? Some of these things may have some specific uses too so Don't just change things without talking to your teacher.

2 Cotton t-shirts. Why? it gets wet and stays wet. same with the long sleeve shirts. get something wicking

No fleece mid layer? If you're going from a valley to a mountain you may want to have some adaptability in your clothing warmth.

3 water bottles. What about 1 stainless steel bottle, and 2 water bags that are lighter weight and conforming?

12 wool socks. All in your pack at once? Or just leave some at base camp. I carry 4 and just rotate and dry mine. I could see a need for more than 4, as I have never been in a certifiable jungle but 12? Be sure to take a garbage bag to keep all your wet stuff separate from dry stuff.

As far as the light goes the surefire guys I'm sure are very knowledgeable folks, probably having a similar attraction to lights that we have to knives. A certifiable obsession. Most will agree you'll be the star of the class even with a fenix. Something with good O-rings and a tight seel would be nice for the jungle. No need to drop 100 dollars here when you can get away with 50 and be a star.

http://yourcornerstore.com/ is a website with pretty much everything you're after if you know what you want. Never ordered from them myself, because they don't ship to Canada. But they have very good prices.

Some stuff I would add:

-Talcum Powder

-Backup fire-starter. A bic lighter or two and firesteel? Dont forget some tinder (petro jelly cotton balls?). I don't know what to use in a jungle for tinder, and I have a feeling you don't either.

-Sewing kit

-Garbage bag

-Fleece jacket, or something warm and wicking.
