Your XL cold steel is impractical to carry
Why? Ambidextrous pocket clip, wave opening feature, solid aluminium ring instead of sandwiched liner material, fits well in the hand instead of being too tiny to hold like a Karahawk or SCH111.
Ugly as deadpool?
Is this a fashion show? Tools don't have to be pretty, and weapons are meant to be felt, not seen: intimidation is a useless tactic amonst serious fighters. Your point?
...and has no advantages other than size and weight over a karambit
It weighs 5.1oz and is on par with the Emerson Super Karambit in length. unless you weigh <100lbs, how does this matter? This isn't comparing a Junglas to a Bk9: weights are comparable. What functional advantages does the Fox have?
You referenced the CS XL Espada, which weighs 14.2oz and has just a blade length of 7.5in. If you compare the fox to the CS 22KF it gets more reasonable, but that's still nearly 1/3rd of the weight difference.
I like knives to look pretty, the CS is ugly and not a very effective karambit, being nearly straight and all.
Again, if you are comparing the 2 karambits it gets more reasonable, but the fox is still my hoice between the 2.
I've used the Fox during training, never once had the blade collapse. I *hate* the Triad lock, which means I wouldn't pick the CS regardless.
