• Happy Thanksgiving to all of you! I hope that you all have something to be grateful for this year and for many years to come
  • America has reached 250 years, and I am grateful to be here, in the best country in the world. Thank every one of you who helps make this country a better place, those who have gone before and risked it all, and those who've paid the ultimate price to make the United States what we are today.

Happy Birthday America! Let Freedom Ring for all time!

Any SOGs in the woods?

Sogs, especially the seal pup, are very popular in the military and among non knife people. (not to be confused with sheeple, people who use knives but don't care about steel, geometry, manufacturer, ergonomics etc.)
I agree with this. SOG seems to be a major go to brand for military folk

the AUS-8 wouldn't hold an edge at all
Cant say I agree with this though. I have a Flash II in AUS8. Holds a good edge, and sharpens easily.

I am interested in the SOG teamleader. I would probably get the $80 AUS 8 version. $160 is too high for duratech. (at least for me anyway)

I think AUS 8 is a great steel.

I have a few SOGs, the Seal 2k, Seal Revolver, Seal Pup, Pup elite, NW Ranger, and the field pup, and Team Leader. My favorite is the Seal Pup Elite. It carries light and cuts well.

I have three for EDC. Powerpliers (older model without guards), Seal Pup Elite, and a mini Pentagon. the pentagon is concealed behind my back about half the time, while the PP and the Seal Pup are with me all the time. I haven't owned a SOG product I haven't liked. Including my first paratool, which is now laying in the bottom of a crevasse on rainier.

I have dealt with their customer service department as well, and they are excellent! My PowerPliers broke off one of the jaws and I sent it in, they replaced the jaws, For Free!
