Any Survivors heading to BladeShow?

We got a production camp knife.

Also a lot of others.

Here is my one of my son's load of knives. We will do a group photo next week at home.

Nice haul! I'm sure your son will enjoy them. Is that a fusion handled bolo? Very cool!

Yes, we need the pics!

Anyone at Blade Show can earn bonus SURVIVOR! points by posting pics of their purchases!

My CGFBM next to my Rift for scale,,, I can't stop smiling every time I pick it up. It's the only knife I picked up, I had to show restraint with the blades this year, as I have some firearms coming in the near future [emoji6]

Whoever said money can't buy happiness clearly never held their own grail knife!

Now let me think.... corrugated.... G something...... F something......... battle mistress! Am I close? This sounds like a job for Google!

Ha ha pretty darn close it does get a little confusing, combat grade fusion battle mistress

Combat grade: coated INFI
Fusion: that particular curved handle

Whoa thanks for the explanation! Knowing the abbreviations is one thing, but I still wasn't sure on what it all meant.

This one has corrugated bacon technology, right?

Yes, there are no letters that denote that though..

By the way, it was a pleasure to meet and hang out with Cold One and his lovely wife, we chatted a lot in line, and by the Bladesports competition. I also think they saw me late at night lying on my back with a cigar in my mouth for a longest ash contest for Busse shop credit :D
I didn't get to meet Brian77, but met his son and nephew, good kids, had a blast at the induction dinner.

Oh man! With CBT, right? So how does it work from there, are you guaranteed one as long as you're good with the price?

Yes, if you catch the card, you have the opportunity to buy it then, or wait until the end of the show on Saturday,, otherwise you can give it to someone, or back to Busse

I was at blade for Friday and Saturday and met Brain at the trough but didn't know who I was meeting :-) I went first thing to Nathan's table and got a light chopper. He sold the last field knife right as I was there. I also got a couple Busse's (trash1 & lil smokey) but will probably move those. The light chopper is great and it was a pleasure to meet Nathan and talk with him. A lot talk about Miller Brothers and I couldn't agree more. I met two of the brothers and they are just great, down-to-earth guys, and I'm definitely looking to have a MBB knife in the future.

Thank you guys so much for all the updates, stories and pictures, and letting us live vicariously. Greatly appreciated fellas

RCB, big congratulations buddy. The CGFBM is an epic score. If you're coming home with one blade only, that's a dandy man, and one of my grails. Way to go!

Wow guys, it sounds like a lot of you were meeting knife world celebrities!

I was unable to keep up with the trough and card talk

I'm staying away from Busse for the same reason I've never bought myself a single malt scotch.......... I'm afraid I'd like it too much and have another interest my wallet REALLY would not like :)

Same here Silver! I'm drawing the line at Survive! and Carothers which are still most knife enthusiasts' wet dream therefore I feel very fortunate to be able to play with these well crafted and highly sought after tools. However, I leave the BUSSE and all those other grail type of blades to the ultra passionate and the uber devote! Hence another reason I have been resisting Justin's not so subtle nudges to get me involved with CRK.

Completely OT, but I just watched some of Blade HQ's Blade Show 2016 YT videos and I must say that I was very disappointed with SpyderCo's line. I really like my PM-2 and Manix 2 XL and they are fine for their purpose but what I saw from SpyderCo this year seemed weak an meek!

I'm only interested in S!K for outdoor knives ATM. The rest don't speak to me. Spartan has a couple that are interesting, but not nearly the value proposition of S!K. I was hoping people who show what they offered, but maybe nothing worth showing.

CRK is going through a huge transition over this past year and moving into this year. I'm very anxious about securing the knives from them I have wanted, and I've had tons of quality issues with 4/5 of the newer ones I bought. It might be the end of an era. Might just be growing pains. The reason I was pushing was, it might be the last chance to get the good stuff. Don't want to miss the train!

Carothers is another I am better off not falling I love with!

SURVIVE! goes way beyond what I really NEED in my own applications but darn it I just love the company and love their products so much. Unlike S! I feel content owning just one Miller Bros knife. Other than mid level packs I need to focus my expenditures!

As you had said it yourself Silver, we the knife people range anywhere from pure collectors to pure users and in between these two opposite poles. That said, one has to be astute and smart with his (her) hard earned $$$ whatever the purpose of the knife purchase is. I recently moved a few (none GSO) blades which I had barely bought 30 days prior to selling them, just because they did not fir my taste, purpose, expectations; whatever... I may had sold them a bit cheaper than most would have but I didn't want them and rather seen them go to good homes for better usage. In that process, I took an average of 30% (or more) loss on a barely fondled blade because they were mass production blades (with the exception of the WRK&T Packbacker which Im glad went to our own young Chiral).

You will NOT see this kind of a loss with Survive! or with NTM's products even after one year or so of average use. Heck, I may even get close to what I paid for my F-2nd GSO 4.7 next year if I should decide to sell it when I receive both the GSO 4.5 BC and the GSO 6. With everything else, I either lost or gave away. The $30-$40 I made out of my GSO 5.1s which I sold on here, basically paid for my BFs membership this year and for next year. Plus the great people I met here on this Forum and all their sage advice all are PRICELESS.

It's pretty much BBS for me (Busse, Becker and Survive) right now. At Blade I handled a bunch more knives then last year and didn't like some that I thought I would and others that I didn't think I would.
All of Nathan's light choppers were sold but he did have a heavy chopper that I got to handle. I liked it, I beat the light chopper is a laser.

Yea I don't typically get anything over a 5 inch blade. I really didn't have to have the 7/7 I just couldn't resist. I usually carry a 3.5-4.5 inch blade in the woods depending on how long I'm stating and what I intend on doing.

That sounds like a maybe to me on a GSO 20 :D

Holy crap. I think I'm in love!
I don't understand Busse's acronyms, but I'm guessing that the Battle Mistress.
