Any W&SS products you want me to get at SHOT?

Oh yeah maybe some l.e.d conversion units for Mag-lites?
A lot of us still have multiple old maglites sitting around collecting dust.
These conversion units are a great way of "recycling/reusing" old gear we already have.

Mini Candle lantern/accessories, Space all weather blankets (OD), maybe some small odds and ends like County Comm sell (good tweezers, etc.) Other than that great store!

OK, kiddos. I'm sitting in the airport about to fly back to Atlanta. I'm sure I forgot a few, but here is everyone that I can remember meeting with:

Flashlights:

SureFire
Streamlight
Camelbak
Coast
FoxFury
4sevens
Novatac
Ra Lights
First Light (their lights are friggin cool)
LRI (Photon)
InForce
Nite Ize (new owners of Inova)
Energizer
eGear

Knives:

CRKT
Benchmade
Spyderco
Kershaw
Gerber
RAT
SOG
Leatherman
Boker
Condor
Ka-Bar

Misc:

Ultimate Survival
Rite in the Rain
Camelbak
Industrial Revolution (UCO, Light My Fire)
Maxpedition
Spec Ops
Pro Force
Snugpak
McNett (AquaMira)
Fisher Space Pen
Tool Logic
ZipVac
Pelican
Zippo

I plan on having stuff from the vast majority of them eventually. They were all receptive to having me open accounts with them thanks to the new store, so I'm really excited about all the new stuff on the horizon. I think I already need a bigger store. :o

Lookin' good, man! I'm sorry I didn't go this year, but it just wasn't in the cards. Maybe one of these days I'll quit the shop I work at and start something myself. :p

Based on the recent post about Condors new blades, pllleeaaassseeee pick them up, and have them in stock;)

Snugpak would be awesome as well, not too many sources in the US or Canada from what I've seen.

I just drove back from SHOT a couple hours ago and I made a point of looking at the Snugpak display. I liked the feel of the synthetic sleeping bag insulation they are using. I'd be curious to hear about how well it holds up because I had some problems with the Polarguard 3D in a North Face Snowshoe bag.

Storl, you may want to consider setting up accounts with a distributor such as Liberty Mountain or Peregrine Outfitters. It would allow you to carry a few items without the added burden of carrying a manufacturers expanded line up. It would be worthwhile to see if Brigade Quartermasters or (i forget the first name) Cavalry may offer similar services. It can be a real money saver for you.

I am opening an account with Liberty Mountain. They do not stock the full lines for the manufacturers though, so I am opening direct accounts as much as possible. Liberty has the same or lower pricing as going direct, which is nice. Peregrine has terrible pricing, but I think they deal more with very small outfits or companies that do not focus a lot on having full lines.

According to a couple of the suppliers, Brigade is no longer. They were bought by another company and are supposedly in the process of evaluating whether or not they should keep all the stores open. I don't know the specifics, but that is what I was told. The possibility of having BQ close is a bummer, since I enjoyed going up to their flagship store near me to look at their goodies.

Picking up Condor is looking like a definite thing, but I am going to have to figure out what to do about the pricing and shipping. Since the popular items are for the most part large, heavy, and inexpensive, the free shipping that I offer will kill me, especially when combined with any discounts. I might have to get rid of the free shipping on everything and make it only for specific items, or up the dollar amount.

That's something for me to worry about though. Condor is one of the first brands I'll be getting. Maxpedition will actually be the very first, since I have to put in an order this weekend to get a good deal with them. They have some new colors (ORANGE!) on their more popular items that look pretty sweet.

I was pretty bummed that Brigade Quartermaster closed their store. Of course the last few times I had gone it had gotten less & less interesting. Of course this may work in your favor.

Yeah, they definitely needed to work on their customer service. I always felt like I was intruding on them when I went in to buy something.

I don't like seeing them close though, regardless of what I am doing. They had some cool stuff and I don't want to see anyone in the industry fail.

What about a "free shipping does not apply to this item" for the Condor(and other heavy and inexpensive items)?

Of course it doesn't really matter to me either way, living in Canada I never get free shipping;)

Or "free shipping does not apply on this item in orders under $50" or something. Sounds fair to me. :)

I went to EORA (east coast trade show) yesterday and talked to Marmot, Arc'Teryx, Petzl, JetBoil, Mountain Hardwear, Suunto, Snow Peak, MSR, Sea to Summit, ThermaRest, Steripen, Leki, ENO, and a few others I can't think of off the top of my head. Most seemed open to letting me buy from them, so hopefully I'll have their stuff in stock before the summer.

Arc'Teryx, Petzl, JetBoil, Suunto, Sea to Summit, Leki, ENO, and SteriPen are all sure things. Mountain Hardwear and Marmot are a little iffy, since I only want their hard goods (sleeping bags and tents), but they seemed open to the idea. MSR, Thermarest (same company), and Snow Peak have to check and make sure I'm not going to compete with too many other dealers in the area.

Between EORA and SHOT, I think I am going to spend the rest of the month filling out credit applications and writing orders. :o

I'm impressed with snugpak's fill. Very warm, lightweight, good feel to it.

I've had mine for about 4 yrs., still great!
