Taking a vacation in a couple weeks to Lauderdale. I'll be traveling by plane from Canada and won't be able to take anything with me. Was thinking of maybe grabbing something cheap while I'm down there to carry for the week like a Spyderco Tenacious or something in the $30/$40 range. Anyone know of any places I could grab something while I'm there?

I was in the same boat winter before last. Bought a buck flipper and a case trapper.
Not much for selection there.

I would have to disagree, there are quite a few quality knives in this price range.
They may not be custom fixed blades or be titanium frame lock flippers, but their still great knives.
I know you're thinking of a cheap modern folder or something, but who knows what the knife laws are there.
if you go to a hardware store or even Walmart you should be able to find the Victorinox recruit for about 15$.
It's an excellent knife, and I'm told ( I don't travel ) that it makes the perfect travel knife. Better yet It's more than just a knife, and you may end up in need of tweezers, a screwdriver, caplifter...ect.
There's even a member or two here who buy them at destination then gift them to people they meet when they're leaving.

Some of the gun stores sell knives, you might have a bit of luck there. Not sure about swap shops either, maybe that is a pawn shop? I've never really looked in one too much but folks have gotten some good knives from them.
