Any Wet Shavers, here?

I used to wet shave. I tried straight razors (had like over 30 of them, all different brands, styles, new, old, kamisori and folding, etc). Tried various stones (naturals and synthetics), finishers (japanese naturals and various stropping compounds) and different strops. Best shave was from an Iwasaki smiling razor, but took so long to do.

I switched to DE's. I had 3 or 4 different DE shavers and tried several of the variety packs of blades and lots of different soaps. Razorock, Katies Bubbles, SRP soaps, MWF, and many others. Eventually, the Merkur 37C slant razor, Gillette Black Super Platinum blades and shaving soap made by a local barbershop was an awesome combo. No other soap/blade/razor I tried came close, so when the shop closed down, I asked for them to send me the recipe for the shaving soap, but they never did. So I have a few pucks stashed away, but went back to an electric razor. It's a good bit faster, but not as nice of a shave. I have sensitive skin, but very coarse facial hair, so it's a sucks combo to have.

I’m a recent convert from DE shaving to SE shaving, specifically a Blackland Vector Lite SB with Kai Captain Titan Protouch MG (that’s a mouthful) blades. I’ve found that I get less irritation than DE shaving.

Those AC single-edge blades are really good for me. The old razors like that Gillette L6 work really well for me, as does my Yaqi Remus, I think it's called today.
