Hey man, who knows? If you wander into the woods of a military base on the eastern seaboard, there’s a nonzero chance you find yourself a lightly used Winkler Hunter Axe LT on or near the floor of a port-a-shitter.
The BladeForums.com 2024 Traditional Knife is available! Price is $250 ea (shipped within CONUS).

Bok15 wins!Long time appreciator of Winkler knives, and member here for a bit but have been a lurker on blade forums for probably 10 years. Let’s see some winkler collection pics, I love seeing what people have! This is mine minus a handful that have come in since picture was taken.

To be honest, I'd be totally happy with only a blue ridge hunter. It's a great knife!![]()

Happy ending for me and a disappointment for anyone who may have been searching for it- someone actually found my hatchet and returned it to me. After a quick wash and treatment with wicked wax it’s almost good as new.
It’s only April, and you already used up all your luck for 2024!

Wait until you hear the story of how I was able to afford the thing... it has indeed been a very lucky start of the year for me, I can't complainIt’s only April, and you already used up all your luck for 2024!
We need the full story on how the guy got it back to you !?Wait until you hear the story of how I was able to afford the thing... it has indeed been a very lucky start of the year for me, I can't complain
Well that's not a very interesting story lol. It fell out of the dump pouch on my gun belt when I took it off to take a shit. It's wasn't there anymore by the time I realize it was missing and without other places to look I figured it was lost. We got back to base later in the day and imagine my surprise and relief seeing my winkler sitting on top of my gear locker. Asking around, I found the dude who put it there, he told me he found it on the floor of the portashitter and couldn't find me right away but he had seen me using it in my hole earlier and knew I was the only weirdo with a hatchet on that field op so he left it on my locker. We need the full story on how the guy got it back to you !?
