Any wrestling fans here?

If this week was my first NXT I'd thought it was so so. Most of the big time players were absent. You did get Sami Zayn and Enzo/Cass, but no Finn Balor, Kevin Owens, Tyler Breeze, Hideo Itami, Charlotte, Sasha Banks, Bayley, and others. The triple threat next week for the women's #1 contender should be good.

True, but I thought the matches they did have were pretty good.

RAW was fair, the best part was Orton counting his RKOs.

One of my biggest pet peeves about pro wrestling is that it seems most of the time, the world champion has to be the heel type who acts cowardly and always cheats to retain the title. Or someone who becomes chicken after winning the title, always trying to duck challenges. And these types of champion always have the longest title reigns. Why not have a heel champion who is simply too much for everyone, and create interest that way?

Well, Brock was that type, but he never wrestled. No one right now really fits the bill for that. I suppose Orton could do that kind of bit if they really played up his in-ring smarts and did a true "apex predator" type thing, showing that he can outsmart everyone in ring, but I doubt Vince would allow an angle like that.

True. I didn't mention Brock precisely because he only wrestled once in a while, and not on regular TV. Otherwise, he was the perfect heel wrestler. Of course, had he wrestled on Raw or Smackdown, they probably would've made him a cowardly heel at some point. If Brock ever wrestles regularly again (which I doubt), I think a rivalry with Rusef would be interesting. Heel vs. heel.

They seemed to be making Brock into an anti-hero before his 'suspension'. Even if they turn him face, he should always have a dark side, like the current Randy Orton who, even when he's a 'face', still has heel qualities.

In fact, a Randy Orton/Brock Lesnar rivalry would probably be the best, IMO. I only remember them wrestling once, way back during the early part of Brock's first tenure in WWE.

Yeah, the only problem with Brock wrestling regularly is that they've built him up as the unstoppable beast, and it's going to be hard to change that.

Yes we need a new Rick Flair woooooooo

Addict here, as are most of my co-workers... not ashamed to admit it! I was a big WCW & ECW fan back in the day. I miss the old days when wwe had serious competition.

Extreme Rules was excellent. Reigns vs Big Show stole the show, Sheamus vs Ziggler was a close second.

Yeah pretty good show. I do have a problem with Reigns taking a chokeslam over the top rope and through two tables and getting up. That should have been the finish. Also Rollins taking a superplex off the top of the freaking cage and not being pinned off of it...especially when the RKO is banned. In both of those cases, the guy who took the bump was slated to win obviously, but still...

NXT Takeover wasn't very good. Best match of the night (IMO) was Balor vs Breeze. Enzo and Big Cass had a decent match but I was hoping they'd win.

RAW was good last night though. Dean Ambrose is just about the most entertaining part of most of the shows, even when he's not on screen very long.

Takeover was average for me too. The women's championship match might have been the best one to me. So yeah, it was average.

Raw has surprisingly been pretty good the past couple weeks. The way Owens is trolling Cena right now is gold. There's no way he pins Cena clean. I see it ending in DQ due to Owens doing something crazy or interference from Zayn. The ideal way for it to end for me is the same way when he beat Zayn for the title, such a beat down that the ref stops the match. Don't know if I see Cena agreeing to putting Owens over, but it needs to happen as WWE needs a shot in the arm. Ambrose on top, not the midcard, plus Owens every week would be worth watching. The ultimate dream feud and match will be Owens vs Lesnar. Samoa Joe needs to come on up too.

I haven't seen much on Global Force Wrestling, but have heard a lot. If someone with some cash, maybe Jarrett has got enough, could get these guys on a major cable network, maybe we could finally have some competition. The late 90s proves what good competition will do.

I don't think the US belt was on the line . But one of the best match I seen in a while great . 22 min of great action KO is the real deal .

Yep, Owens vs Cena was match of the night and the crowd never recovered afterwards. Can't believe they already have a rematch booked for Money in the Bank so Cena will have to win so it'll be even Stevens.

Great swerve at the end. I thought Ambrose had won it and was pumped about it. I'm thinking Roman obviously wins Money in the Bank (no idea why they even have people like Kofi in it) and sets up a Shield triple threat match for the title at Summerslam or Wrestlemania 32 with Reigns taking the belt. It's nice to see Ambrose in the heavyweight title picture rather than the overcrowded midcard.

Iv'e watched wrestling since the days of Bobo Brazil and Pampero Firpo. Been to several live events in my day.
