Anybody else giving knives for Christmas presents ?

I'm giving both my daughters Victorinox Executives. They are 17 and 20 years old respectively.
Dad and brother are getting Victorinox Spartans. Girlfriend and a few other wine drinkers are getting Victorinox Waiters.
Why Victorinox and something not tactical ?
All these people would open a Spyderco (or any other one-hander) with both hands

They also would not be inclined to maintain any exotic stainless steel.
BTW, I gave myself another CMKT/Buck 110 auto and a spare Dragonfly because I've been a good boy.

Well, I got my baby girl (9) a SAK, one of my brothers a SAK, albeit a much bigger one that that for my girl, my other brother got one of those collectible Case knives that he wanted. My wife got one of the Gold Edition Gil Hibben fantasy knives (Jackal) (even though they are the UC stuff, she loves the looks), she also will get a BM Mini Stryker. I'm getting myself a Polaris from Joel Pirela and I'm having Neil Blackwood make me LiteWave. Oh, I guess that Starship I bought off of Jim yesterday will also be a classified as a Christmas gift

Why do they use sterile needles for lethal injections?

Gave my Father-in-law a Spyderco Moran.

Oh, you mean for other people? Nope, just a GT Mini for myself. Would have bought a William Henry CF Kestrel, but I'd already put that on the Christmas list my wife sent to her family (hey, you never know!). Guess the William Henry will be my birthday present to myself.

Buy my wife a knife instead of jewelry? Yeah, there's an idea that will go over big time.

My wife and I are giving her Dad a William Henry Lancet with mother of pearl scales and fancy scrollwork on the bolsters. My Dad's getting an Umfaan from us.

Knives make a very thoughtful, very practical, very useful gift. And in the case of both the William Henry and the Umfaan, very attractive/artistic gifts as well.

I am gettin myself a TOPS Talonite Shadow Hunter, 2 Allen Blade Utilities, and an Allen Blade Drop Point.

And the Allen Blade Ranger Lite could be called an early christmas present.

I never have observed the christmas holiday, and nowadays my attitude is:

I spend my money on me, you spend your money on you, everybody gets what they want. Of course, I still buy gifts for friends, but not in observance of any pagan holy days.

A CF Dragonfly, a BM330, and a Delica98 are going to three different friends.

Bought some Mace from the Bladeforums store as a stocking stuffer for my SO! (I can't buy her any other gadgets for her keychain since it already has a Victorinox Midnight Messenger, a turquoise PhotonII,and a Micra, [and a Baby Wayne Goddard in her purse]. Besides, she always just looks to me when she needs something cut anyway...

I gave my brothers knives for their birthdays, but their wives are getting Photons for stocking stuffers. Friends (and the husbands of my wife's friends) are getting SAKs (Spartans, Sodiers and Golfers). A few favorite co-workers got Spydercos or REKAT Utility Fangs, with Photons for their wives as well.

What did I get for myself? Why, El Diablo, of course.

My son (age 9) is getting his first real knife, a SAK tinker (he has several wooden Bowies and a Katana sword that I carved). He is also getting the small fixed blade skinner that I won as a door prize at the Chesapeake show a couple of weeks ago (thanks to S.E. Sinclair). My dad is getting a 2700 layer birds-eye damascus blade with a stag handle made by HK Derr. My brothers have all received knives in past years, so they will just have to drool on my Dad's this year. Merry Christmas to All!

I was making a blade for my sister since she has really begun getting into hiking and such. Unfortunately I wasn't able to finish it in time for X-mas, but I'm going to visit her next month and her birthday is comming up so that works too!

My Dad is getting a Marbles Fieldcraft with curly maple handle……looks very nice.

Mrs. Claus is giving me a SS Spyderco Calypso Jr. engraved by Brooks Burt……I can’t wait!

I think I might have to get a Speedtech Synergy with my Christmas Bonus.

Have a great holiday.

A Cold Steel Para Edge to my brother who was kind enough to send me a K.I.S.S., which is now my money holder (what little I have left after finding this Forum).

I ordered a Neil Blackwood Tanto for my wife. I did not think I would get it early enough for Christmas, but Neil said it is on the way. I admit to probably being as excited or more so than my wife. She did look at it though on his webite and was really impressed. I will post a review of it after it arrives. Neil's web URL is to long for me to remember, but I know he has a link on the Links page here at Bladeforums. Check out his site, he makes some nice looking knives.
