Starting to get the itch. Stands are up, weather cooling down, and broadheads are sharpened. Now just waiting for Opening Day.

Just have to decide which knife is gonna get the call to be the skinner this year.

Cant wait,
Garth

The itch is there. However, hunting season starts after winter here. I still have a long wait ahead of me :grumpy:

To all of you who can start by now: Good hunting!

Im excited!!! First time hunting this year, should be a great experience:thumbup:

very itchy here... i'll be bringing the CABS again :)
Thought about the BJ- but the CABS was so slick last year, I just gotta do it again.

Getting ready, I was out all weekend scouting new spots with my son. Little guy was a trooper, humping up wet hills all day without complaint.

I'm almost ready..I just need a sharp knife! :footinmouth: My knife of choice will be a game warden.

And I need to buy a new pair of pants/bibs.

I'll use my MUK, with a SMOG warden to backup. I can't wait to see what Garth picks! Just ordered an Eberlestock pack to carry my bow.

Let me know how the Eberlestock works out. I have been looking for a good bow pack for awhile. I would love to hear your thoughts on it.

I ordered the Gunslinger II with the Butt Bucket/ Ripcord. It should be here by friday, I'll let you know.

You're gonna love it. There is nothing better than fresh backstraps over the fire and a cold beer to complete a great day of hunting.

The thought occured to me the other day that I spent my entire career at Alabama Power Company scheduling my vacation time around sex.

Either the bass or bluegill were spawning, the turkeys were strutting, or the deer were in rut.

Yes!! I have been thinking too much on tactical weaponry and tactics lately. I can't wait to relax in the tree stand with my bow or in the pheasant field with my 13 month old Brittany pup. I will have my "Beef Special" Custom Shop Ram's Horn Anorexic Boss Street on my hip for good luck.

For the fifth year in a row i forego the woods for my studies; they require all of my attention. The itch is still strong though.
