Anybody else ready for hunting season?

You're gonna love it. There is nothing better than fresh backstraps over the fire and a cold beer to complete a great day of hunting.

Garth

Sounds good. :D

A good big young Roo haunch roasting over the camp fire and a steaming mug of fresh Billy tea stirred with a twig of gum leaves takes some beating too. :D

Tried hunting Kangaroos once but the people at the zoo got really mad. Actually they were down right rude about it. Some people are just not into the hunting and the outdoors I guess.

Going Dove hunting in the morning, I will see if the game cameras have any picks of hogs. Attached is he last one I shot in June. 265 lbs, the hog not me I am an enchillada plate shy of 200. This was my first use the CABS I plan adding larger slabs to.

Phhhhhhhhtttttttttttt! Must be with PETA or something...

Like Uncle Ted says... "ya gotta kill it before you grill it!" :D

I'm getting ready with my new Tikka T3 in .300 wsm and either my BATAC, Scrap Muk, or BS by my side and my SHBM for some camp chores. Going to Kentucky for a Thanks Giving hunt with my 15 yr old son and 12 yr old daughter and some other family members. We are going to get us a couple of deer if we are lucky. It will be my sons third season and my daughters first. We are all very excited. Good luck to all this year and stay safe.

Sounds awesome. Kentucky is still one of my all time favorite places to hunt.

Congrats. You will always remember the first one. I've taken a lot but the first one is still a fond memory.

Arrows fly in Ohio starting saturday morning. Can't wait. Might just go get in my stand now so I am ready to go.

I've been practicing with my Crossbow the last week or so and am anxiously awaiting whitetail archery season I'm pretty pumped for this year.

Give em hell, Garth!

I have begun my preparations for deer season. I am currently undergoing the critical process of liver-training that the season requires.

Second, I've posted signs around all feeders which read the following:

"THIS IS MY CORN. ANY CRITTER FOUND WITHIN 5000 METERS OF SAID CORN IS SUBJECT TO PENALTY OF DEATH. EXECUTION TO CARRIED OUT IMMEDIATELY...NO EXCEPTIONS!"

So... they have been fairly warned. We shall see if they simply ignore the signs like in years past. They will find no mercy in my court.

Deer season starting soon up here in NY have 3 stands up now going to put 2 more up in different locations,Mainly a Bow's man, shoot recurve useing my Fedora bow this year ,Im deadly with it up to 25 yards, but my average shot less than 15 yards,, As for a hunting knife ,I will probley go with a SAR3 but plan on trying the MUK out ,to see why are fore-fathers like the blade so well in the northeast.

Good luck to all,,, may you all fill all you tags up ,,

That's wicked. I wish we had those here. I may have to plan a trip next year. Where do you guys hunt wild boar? Can you give me some info on guided hunts in your area ? Are they good eatin'?
