Anybody have a custom or not normal Rodent-6 or Rodent-7 ?? Post pics?

Did a little chopping tonight with my RODENT 6. I can see why you guys wanted some custom shaping done. From the pics about, it looks like a RMD on steroids, which I like. The top guard just gets in the way when changing grips. I have pretty good sized mits, and I was having a hard time working around the extra piece of steel. Otherwise, I really love this knife. It was my first Rat, so I can consider it a learning experience.

I guess I might have to look into a custom shop order sometime when I get closer to completing the collection and can circle back an buy a second Rodent 6.

I think you can send it in to get it customized, instead of having to buy another one and customize the second one. I THINK. Worth a call to Swamp Rat.

First let me mention the work at the Custon Shop at Swamp Rat does great work, I wanted a 6 " blade even though I think I have a nice stable of nice 6 " blades but I really started to like the SR101 Steel Swamp Rat makes for their knives, I contacted Trissy and she said they could take the top gaurd off so I had it thinned down too, I went with a plain black on black but what I got was a Ratmandu on steriods, it came out beautiful and one of my favorite 6" knives now, it works like it was designed as a chopper, the area that where the top gaurd was allows my hand to put that little snap into it when I chop, also my thumb rest so comfortable on it when I bare down to drill a hole on a fire board that is better than my other 6"knives, now, a natural, heh yeah I would recommend this modification to anyone that is thinking of doing this, I liked the robust thickness, but I also realized having it thinned down would improve its slicing and it did, and made it a bit lighter too, it did raise tge relief edge a little but it still splits great, anyone thinking of having their Rodent 6 Modified I say go for it, it made my Rodent 6 my Fav.

Say Heah Guys, Just a F.Y.I. the Ka-Bar Sheath for the BK-22 which is a fairly nice made Nylon Sheath that fits the BK-22 which is the Flat Grind version of the BK-2 fits my Modified Rodent 6 like a glove. It has a pouch and is made very well, I thought I would drop this F.Y.I. for you guys that have a Modified Rodent 6 and haven't got a Sheath yet, I think it will also fit the Small Spec Ops Sheath, I will let you know as soon as I check it out, right now my BK-2 is in that sheath because that Plastic Sheath my BK-2 came in was so tight that it actually hurt my wrist when I would pull the BK-2 out, and I'm not a whimp. But anyhow I hope this helped.
